I'm not sure if "crit" is the correct term. Specifically, I'm looking for any advice or nuggets of wisdom anyone out there might have for this comic.
It's no secret that I don't like sprite comics, so what I've decided to do is attempt to find out if I simply don't allow myself to like them, or if there as an inherent awfulness to stealing game sprites instead of drawing something.
To that end, this gives us the Shy Experiment. It's my intent to create a comic of some degree of quality (without cutting into my regular comic time to too much) using sprites. So far the greatest difficulty I've had is the overall lack of emotion in most sprites, and trying to convey it without spending forever editing sprites.
I'm looking for advice from sprite comic authors (maybe a good site to get sprites from, or a good way for resizing), sprite comic haters (just tell me everything you hate about sprite comics, and I'll try and avoid it) and just anyone curious about the project willing to lend a hand. I really don't know how often I'll be able to update this, but I'll try and make it worth your time to check on it from time to time.

Now this is more like it. A sprite comic that is enjoyable and fun to read. :)
Great work!

This is the best sprite comic ever. YOU HAVE WON THE INTERNET (a cash value of around 20 bucks).

I like this comic, sure it uses premade sprites, but the entire comic doesn't ride on cut and paste. The writing is pretty slick too, nice timing on the jokes, and none of this 'have to have played every game made to understand the comic' I see with game based comics.
My biggest squik with sprite comics is the self insertion and 'original' characters, whom happen to look the same. I think here, having characters that look the same, works for the comic. So you've already used and abused things that bother me in sprites in a good way.

Nicely done, graphically. It's um... certainly the second prettiest sprite comic I've ever seen. Writing's a bit flat though.
