THE RETRIBUTIONIST

Set in a fantasy world I created called "Terraia" in the after math of the First Human-Elf War (though obviously it's not called "the First" in the comic). Humanity is in control of the mainland and the Elves have been driven to the islands of the North. The only Elves left are a few slaves here and there. Now that the previous natives are gone, Humanity can focus on civilizing the mainland...

...of course, new challenges arise when various people— "Magites"— are born with strange abilities. People aren't quite sure what to make of the Magites, but the Church of Celestia, which rose to prominence in the last years of the war, has decreed that the Magites are the "Chosen of Celestia", and granted their powers by the Celestians (angels) themselves.

Cer (pronounced just like "care") is one such Magite. He has the ability to transfer pain from one creature to another. It only works on animals, though (by which I mean the Kingdom Animalia, so humans are included but stuff like, say, trees are not). He wanders the land punishing those who torment others. He's built up quite a reputation for himself, becoming a sort of boogeyman: The Retributionist.

Meanwhile, different factions of humans are drawing national borders, and one particular diplomat— Sir Leon, the Knight of the West— has special interest in the mysterious Retributionist...
