I run a forum where there are lots of writers and artists. I noticed that lots of people are in the 'practicing' part of their artist abilities, but lots of them like drawing comics, or like reading webcomics, or have at one stage considered making a comic. But, they don't have enough for a whole webcomic themselves, or don't do it often enough to update on a regular basis, or are nervous about starting one up. So, we've got the Notebook webcomic, where we can all share our work.
