Hello!
I just started a new storyline comic called Salt the Holly on October 8. I'd love for you to check it out, love it, favorite it, follow it, etc.
Also, I'm pretty new to the drawing scene, so I know my "art" is a bit rough around the edges. That being said, I would fully welcome any critiques and suggestions you might have - but, you know, the less snarky, the better!

EDIT: You're right - I should have waited to ask for critiques when I had a few more pages up. Thank you very much for any suggestions you had regarding the artwork - believe me, anything helps. Have fun!
Thanks!

Hard to tell anything from just a teaser comic. I'll at least keep an eye on it and make more informed suggestions once there's more substance.
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

Hmm, there should be three pages up by now. I better make sure it's cooperating.

The three pages are there, but one's more of a place holder and the other is a cover art. To me at least, they're, while nice, not weighted as much as comic pages. So until there are more comic pages I can't really critique the art, plot, etc. Kind of a statistics thing there where you get better accuracy with a larger sample :p.

Can't crit the plot, but I CAN crit the art. Thus far, it is unfortunately subpar. The pencilly look just ain't workin' for you. You might want to consider inking and/or coloring. If you cannot do this by hand, you can look up GIMP (free knockoff of Photoshop) and just do it digitally.
And the anatomy? Tis bad. It's obvious you're still new to this and all though. I suggest you take a look at people moving. Look at HOW they move, how the body looks from different angles, how the joints bend. It will help you more than you would think. Then practice. Practice, practice, practice! Trust me, there was a point where I was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than you ever could hope to be, and practice pulled me through. It'll do the same for you.

Generally, inking is the technique of using ink (usually in the form of some sort of pen) to darken your lines. The pencil lines are then erased after the ink dries, leaving a crisp black outline with a far higher contrast and cleaner look than pencil will give you. This can be simulated digitally in just about any art program that supports layers.

Ah, okay. I actually do that already! Heh, guess I need better pens.
Thanks for the suggestions - I will have to fiddle with Gimp to see what I can do with it...maybe do the color thing.
