This was the first ever sprite (fan)comic series I made. I have gone back and edited the visuals ever since I made it, but other than that I have changed very little.

SPOILERS: This description will outline the entire plot, seeing as how the comic is already finished.

The plot is about Samus Aran living on Planet Zebeth (From the very amusing comic found here: http://www.zebeth.com/planetzebeth/ ) with her 'friends' Kraid and Ridley. In the normal Planet Zebeth, Ridley runs a bar and Kraid/Samus run around killing enemies and getting into various kinds of trouble.

In the fan comic, it started out like most of the others. A new 'copy' of Zebeth is made (due to the fact that it exists in an emulator) and Kraid loses the ability to speak when it is activated. Soon a 'guest author' shows up and warns Samus that his computer is going to delete Kraid, and that Samus has to enter Kraid's mind to find and eliminate the corrupted files. When she and Ridley enter, Samus is shortly driven (slightly) mad by the nature of Kraid's mind. Her own inner mind escapes, but before they can make any effort to look for it, they are found themselves by one of Kraid's thoughts, and taken back to the Central Thought Processing area, housing the S.O.U.L Device. As Samus speaks with Kraid's Inner Mind, Ridley finds and captures Samus's own mind, which leaves him hearing voices.

Soon, the corruption makes itself known in the form of a creature known initially as "Evil Kraid." Far later on in the comic, his real name, Mephistoph- is revealed. He encounters Samus and fights her, where she quickly beats him. As a reward, the denizens of Kraid's mind allow Samus to enter a machine that sifts through her mind, unlocking hidden memories and bringing them back to the surface.

She remembers that Ridley and Kraid were space pirate commanders responsible for the attack on her planet, and the murder of her parents. Because of this realization, she is overcome with rage and begins to attack anything she encounters in Kraid's mind before breaking down in a fit of despair.

As she analyzes this new information, she remembers that the Chozo raised her, and had disappeared from the universe since then. She formulates a plan to get her revenge in the real world, then to bring back the Chozo from what she assumes is extinction. Once teleported back into reality, she kills the 'guest author' Goom, blasts Kraid with missiles (eventually exploiting a glitch that gives her infinite missiles), and mortally wounds Ridley. However, she allows Ridley to escape because he tells her that he has her Mind.

She soon hunts down Mother Brain and kills her, activating a countdown timer until Mother Brain is cloned. She seeks out the cloning device, and uses a sample of Chozo DNA from her own blood to create a clone of the Chozo. In response to her actions, the Guest Author (who respawns himself) releases the X Parasite onto Zebeth. It quickly overtakes the planet, infecting any living matter it encounters. The vast majority of Zebeth is infected while Samus waits underground for her clone to gestate.

After a period of Nine months, the clone is finished. Samus realizes that it will need food, and her own supply has run out. She decides to run to the bar to get more. We also learn that Ridley has taken it upon himself to protect the few remaining enemies on Zebeth after he was revived by an unknown force. When Samus reaches the Bar, Ridley is there waiting for her, and immediately asks her to kill him. He returns her mind, and explains that Kraid is not dead, and has been changed into something horrible. Samus blasts Ridley with more missiles, leaving him dead.

As she attempts to leave the bar, she is attacked by an X Parasite. Without the suit in Fusion, she cannot simply absorb it. Her body reacts in the only way it can, attempting to purge the parasite from her system by violently vomiting. She expels the parasite, and runs outside to destroy the rest of the X infected creatures. The parasite she puked slips through the floor, and reforms in Norfair as the Sa-X.

She races back to the cloning facility, fearing for her chozo, and encounters the same demon creature she THOUGHT she had killed in Kraid's mind.

Evil Kraid.

He explains to her that he has taken her Chozo as collateral, telling her that they have a bigger enemy to fight than each other. He tells her that the X know how to reach other planets because of a creature they infected that had been fairly intelligent. They agree to stop the X before they fight each other, and on an elevator ride to a 'secret' means of communicating other planets Mephistoph tells Samus about his origins. But just before they go down into the planet, Evil Kraid searches for Ridley and revives him (again), followed by Ridley's release from Evil Kraid's services.

Evil Kraid is a kind of spirit of hatred. As a child Kraid was ridiculed by other kids, but because he was nonviolent he bottled up his anger where it festered and allowed Mephistoph into his mind. Due to a chemical reaction triggered by Mephistoph's invasion of Kraid's mind, Kraid turns a vivid pink color, and his spines and tail grow out longer. As soon as Kraid's rage had been spent, Mephistoph left him alone, making Kraid wake up surrounded by bodies of people he had killed.

Due to Samus's constant abuse of Kraid, and all the drinking she made him do, Kraid's mind had been weakened again, causing all of his repressed hate to allow Mephistoph back into Kraid's body. Evil Kraid originally only wanted to kill Samus, but after learning about the X parasite he decided that she would sever as a decent ally to stop them.

As the elevator stops, they exit into a massive cavern where the Chozo had hidden a great space ship, currently in the middle of being refitted by various enemies that were still uninfected. As they approach the ship, Samus comments that many of the enemies have yellow eyes, but Evil Kraid tells her to be quiet because they need to feign ignorance of the X presence. When they reach the ship Samus is introduced to the shipboard AI, and Evil Kraid leaves her behind to go and finish his own agenda. Samus prepares for takeoff alone except for a droid and the ship's AI.

During the ship's takeoff, a ripper smashes a small hole in the hull, where a Core X flies inside and hides among the crew. After the ship has left Zebeth's Atmosphere, the computer warns Samus to go examine the hole. After she leaves, she apparently returns speaking broken english and asking if the ship is heading for other planets. After the computer answers yes, she leaves, and morphs into the core X in the hallway outside the bridge. The computer makes note of this, and calls Samus back to the bridge.

It warns her that the core X is imitating her, and that up to that point not even a single X parasite has been destroyed. Samus decides to hunt for the Sa-X anyways, and is attacked outside the engine room bu it. It follows her inside the engine room, where many unstable components are found. Damaging even one will destroy the ship. She attacks the Sa-X, which responds by morphing into its mutated form and attacking her again. Seeing no other option, she blasts the coupling between generators with a missile, destroying the ship.

I'm going to stop here, and I'll type up the rest of the plot later. Hopefully THIS is enough to get some people interested.
