Cabal and his mother Carmen have been living in Downtown Denver since he was born. At ten, that world is turned upside down, forcing the dhampir and his vampire mother to try and survive in the nulcear wasteland left behind. Blood is hard to come by - often tainted and unpalattable - human foodstuffs are even more scarce - and Cabal needs that just as much to survive.

Two years later, they find the Dwellers Cavern - an underground research station. It is a place that will provide them food and shelter plenty. It seems a boon, until Carmen insists on bringing her old brood home for dinner.

Left behind, a twelve year old Cabal decides to explore his new environment - and unexpectedly is befriended by a human.

We have a new page - up at midnight!! Woots! We are getting somewhere now. As you can tell I had fun with this page. I've been dying to get to the upcoming conversation...you will probably find it funny!

It is pretty fun...'cause we get Cabal totally out of his 12 year old, never been around humans for any length of time comfort zone! This is going to be a good time for at least me!

I know this seems like it is moving a bit slowly, again I have to establish some things before the "action" portion of the chapter.

Okay I have been WAY busy and WAY tired...I got the basic foreground colors done for the page, but I wasn't able to get the shading, backgrounds or bubbles done! So this is going to be a page that (HOPEFULLY) will be done in time for Saturday!

Not bad congrats on hitting the big 2-5. The only crit I got is in the words some of the photoshop effects you use seem off. Maybe try some new ones or just messing the settings? Either way good job.

Thanks for popping in Shin Gen! Yeah I'm never truly satisfied with the photoshop effects....I'm afraid I settle more often than not. I need to go back to Blam Bot plop some money down and get some sound effects!

HEE! Only problem is they don't work in Photoshop, only in Illustrator and I'm not sure I have that one on my All Adobe CD...I will have to see!

The anatomy ranges from great to horrific. Nothing I can really suggest other than practicing more to get those kinks ironed out.

I do like the coloring though. It has a nice soft look that is appealing.
