Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and I just wanted to make a quick post to tell everyone about my new webcomic called Off the Grid. Oh there is a bit of naughty language so if you are offended by that sort of thing then stay away. I would love to hear any feedback you may have. Thanks!

Okay, I'll be the first voice to speak.
Your comic has great humour. There's quite a few strips on your main site, which have not yet shown up on this site, which I feel you should put up here as they are pure gems. You have great material, and you have a good use of pop culture gags.
I know one member who has critised your strip as being too much like PVP in your comments, which I think is sheer bunkum, as your style and feel is more like every webcomics greatest forefather; Penny Arcade. And that is a compliment not to be sniffed at. A lot of us owe a great thanks to Penny Arcade, and I, myself, will not deny that it is a hufe influence in my work.
I look forward to more of your strips.

I appreciate your interest in my work Nerfherder. I was also a bit surprised at the suggestion that my strip was too much like PVP. I make no secret of the fact that my primary influence is Mike Krahulik of Penny Arcade. A few years ago I had just about forgotten about comic strips but once I discovered Penny Arcade it reminded me just what a fun medium comics can be in terms of both drawing and writing. For me it was the artwork that drew me in and the writing that kept me coming back and that's what I would like to do with my own strip Off the Grid. I think the longer I do my strip the more my own artistic taste will come to the surface but I wouldn't be surprised if there is always a bit of PA in my artwork considering how influential PA has been to me. My other primary influence is the work of Stephen Silverman. You can check out his work at http://www.silvertoons.com/portfolio.php
So there you have it, I guess some might rip into me for looking to much like PA, but I just think of it as trying to learn from the best. Regardless, my hat is always off to the PA crew.
