Three years ago I was desperate for a book to read, something mingling a bit of fantasy with decent writing. Having gotten tired of the small selection at the local school library I set about writing my own novel, and finished it that summer. I kept revising it periodically since then, and after much good advice and editing from friends and family I have finally decided that it counts as finished.

Here is a bit about the story:

Lady Elizabeth Grunwit dislikes cucumber sandwiches and weekends in the country with her relatives, but quickly discovers that she likes her uncle's new huntsman even less. Not strictly a man at all but an unsidhe vampire with the best of credentials from Britain's Fay Control Board, Alexia Skraelug is even more disturbed by Elizabeth than she is by him. After all, he’s killed her before. Determined this time to keep Elizabeth alive, Alexia must struggle against the prejudices of a 19th century Britain only too happy to see him dead while trying to solve the mystery of how he keeps encountering, and killing, the many incarnations of Elizabeth’s soul. Elizabeth, alternately attracted to and repulsed by the strange and inhuman fay, soon becomes embroiled in these very same problems.
