Hello,
My name is Aaron and I am the creator for NewGirl, a webcomic about a superhero that is struggling to find her way in a world that seems to have been forgotten by real competent heroes. I am currently re-working the first batch of comics that I did and am always looking for more input to how to improve my comic. Please check it out at www.drunkduck.com/NewGirl . here is hoping you will enjoy it and hopefully become a fan.

Aaron

I think this comic has a lot of potential. I love your useless super heros (I can't wait to see scenes featuring Captain Annoying), and NewGirl is such a wonderfully strange, awkward, and yet likable character. You've got an offbeat, quirky sense of humor, which is the most important thing.

I think it just needs a little polishing. The artwork is good sometimes but a touch inconsistent. Try working on profiles and action sequences. As for the writing, the dialogue is sometimes just a little clunky. You've got really great ideas, but you need to work on expressing them so that your audience can get the full impact of them. It's really difficult to give specific advice about writing (for me, anyway), but just keep practicing and listen carefully to how people talk. Also, sometimes NewGirl's boundless energy gets a little bit grating. That's OK, plenty of real life people can be that way, but you might try making the other characters react to it a little more when she starts rampantly hugging people and so on. That way you can get more humor out of that facet of her personality.

Oh, and one really little thing: the lettering doesn't need to be that big. If it's just a little smaller you leave yourself more room for art, and room for characters to talk more.

Anyway, those are just a few suggestions. If they're useful to you, great, if not, disregard them completely. I liked your comic a lot, but going on about the parts I like doesn't help you at all. I'm definitely interested to see where this comic goes.
