A guinea pig from another planet makes his first trip into outer space.

Such is the premise of the first chapter of "'Suffering & Death' featuring Talking Guinea Pigs!", just now completed! It is 32 pages in length and a quick read.

Check it out starting here: http://www.drunkduck.com/featuring_Talking_Guinea_Pigs/index.php?p=415717 .

Any comments, feedback, and criticisms would be kindly appreciated!

*ahem*

Well, no replies is cool, too. I'm midway through Chapter 2. I fell behind a bit on updating so I'm updating every day this week. Um check it out! And if you have any feedback I'm still all ears. If not, don't sweat it!

Wait, I really, really like this. XD
I like your coloring, and the oh-so cute guinea pigs, and the quite cruel sense of humor.
There is always room for improvement, of course.
But I really enjoy Suffering and Deaththe way it is now :D

Ooh, I read this one (why haven't I faved it yet?). The humor is always wonderfully dark. The title is also like that, as is the graphic for the title - it's obviously going to be dark subject matter, but then there's the giant "featuring talking guinea pigs!" I like the thick and shifting lines with the rounded edges - the art is also whimsical due to that, even though terrible things are constantly happening.

I am curious about the opening to chapter two. Is this actually a comic about existentialism in Russia featuring talking guinea pigs?

Always, I wanna be with mew, and make believe with mew
and live in harmony harmony oh nyan

Cool! You really seem to "get" what I'm going for, which means I've succeeded at least that far, which is encouraging.

As far as existentialism in Russia is concerned, I'll be vague and say that this entire story arc is going to be heavily influenced by Dostoevsky. I became obsessed with Dostoevsky over the past couple years and have read all his major works at least twice, and so it kind of had to come out in comic form in some way or another. To touch upon the depths of those works is an almost impossible feat (at least for me), so I'll be happy with a story that just kind of scratches the surface of the surface...and of course, is funny.

Like it, love it, it's in my faves. I always wondered where guinea pigs came from.
