1) The actual Size limits for the banner
Basically a banner can be long and short or stocky and tall, or something kind of in the middle.
(file size below 70KB )
Please keep signature images around 480x60 (wide by tall), and under 70KB. (This means all the images in your signature should fit in an area about that size, not that you get to use as many big ones as you want.) It doesn't have to be exactly those dimensions of course, but be sensible with it. Something like 250x100, etc, is fine. In general, these forums have historically been in favor of smaller, less obtrusive signatures. If it's animated and too blinky/flashy it will draw complaints too. ;)
Those are both so that people browsing the forums aren't overwhelmed with stuff to download. The forums software doesn't enforce this, so please let an admin know if someone's got a case of GigantiPicture.]

2) The Code!
Under one of your forum posts; click where it says 'Edit signature'.
A small box will open where you will place the code:
Replace all curly {} bracket with straight brackets to get it to work!
