Jacob Maer has Schizophrenia, and on top of that, has been a social outcast for most of his life. In middle school, his parents died in a car accident, and he had to move in with his Uncle, Andrew Belmore.

Now in high school, Jacob is in a very bad condition, and is desperate for some help. Liz Allen, a very pretty girl, moves to his school, and joins the cheerleader squad, gaining instant popularity. She meets Jacob, and the two become friends, but afraid that making it public would tarnish her new popularity, Liz hides the friendship.

Well, you don't actually have any comic pages up. ;) The art looks interesting, though. I like the contrast of the two characters on the cover page.

One thing I'd suggest: if you're doing a serious story about schizophrenia (or any other form of mental illness, for that matter,) I would do thorough research. Read blogs of people suffering from this condition or posts in support group forums for schizophrenics and their families, detailed descriptions of symptoms, stages of onset, treatments, etc. I guess it depends on how realistically you want to write the character, but there's a lot of stereotypical, two-dimensional depictions of schizophrenia that dominate the popular understanding of the disease that I would try to steer clear of. But that's just me.

The story mostly focuses on the effects of bullying. It got that way after quite a few suggestions from friends. Originally it was going to be a romantic comedy about a girl with a friend who had OCD, but it developed quickly into a comic about bullying. But that is a good suggestion. One of my friends has a cousin with Schizophrenia, and a real life friend of mine has done a lot of research on it. I'll look up more on it and try and make it realistic.
