-and I have been addicted to Drunkduck for a few months now.

So anyway, down to business. I'm trying to get my comic out into the open. Get a fan base and would greatly appreciate any critique. I also give critiques and such to those who want it and you scratch my back I'll scratch yours and such.

I would also like to apologize in advance if I inadvertantly offend someone with my newbness. I'm still getting used to drunkduck, much less the forum.

Oh thankyou for the comment Mark ^^, I greatly appreaciate that and the link. As to Vincent's gender, yeah he's a guy. A very girly pansy man guy, lol. I, like many others, enjoy the fine art of manga and it's cornucopia of girly men.

But anyways, I shall now head on over to your comic to read it and rate it because you kindly did the same for me!

The art is really nice but as the previous poster pointed out there are some gender problems.

I can't really see who is a man and who is a woman. Everyone has female face features and bodies, everyone has eye makeup.

From the printed manga i have read i can always tell who are men and women and there is no reasen why i shouldn't be able to do that in your comic. You just need to learn how to draw men different. Draw men more boxy, add a beard, or SOMETHING, you cant just draw all characters like women and add male names and think that will work.

It seems to me that in general guys are better at drawing guys and girls are better at drawing girls. I know my guys always look definately masculine and my girls mostly look questionably feminine. I know some female artists who have the opposite problem.

Though, admittedly, manga does often make guys more feminine looking as the style gives lots of opportinuties to prettify the guys.

This could be made into a separate topic for sure, but generally female artists draw men very femenine. I've seen a bunch of comics here on Drunk Duck where the male characters are basically just women but with some slight clothes or beard attributes to make them male. Often not even that, everyone has long hair and makeup and its basically impossible to tell who is male or female.

Male artists have,as far as i have seen, no problems with that. Actually the difference is often very extreme where the men are super men and women are mega sexy. Anyhow, its clear who is man and a woman.

Im going into lenght here, but its a thing thats making me puzzled. I mean most females have breasts, draw those. Most men are more bulky and muscular, draw that. Females have a more round face, men have a more sharp square face, draw that. Men and women ARE very different, so being at a point where the art is great and you cant tell who is male or female is slightly absurd.

VegaX, I understand exactly where you are coming from. The only thing I can say is that I have yet to introduce any female characters online yet and I assure you there is a difference between my men and women in which you will be able to tell the difference. I find in each manga, you must find the differences the artist has created but, like you say, one must keep a line between male and female so that reader's can distinguish between the genders. I am also working on making my men less curvy because that is a rather bad habit that I have. Thankyou for the comment.
