It seems like a solid start. The darkness is a little hard to interpret and I'm pretty sure blood spurts in a more chaotic way... it looks like beautiful red silk. Draw more and I'll be happy to read more!

It's looking to be quite a sweet comic. You have skill with CG - the lighting looks great. Nice work on the upwards blood spurt - it looks really sudden and like a clean cut.
Work on the speech bubbles, though. The writing's coming out the bubbles, and that's never good. Do you use PhotoShop? Try using the Free Transform tool to make it smaller.
Keep up the good work!

Got a new page up and am going to update everyweekend now. Most likely going to be every friday.
Got a new program to manage the black and white pages, so give it a look over and let me know. B)
As always comments and input is always appreciated.

Looking good so far. You've a great hand with lighting. The colour pages are cool, but your handling of the black and white page impressed me most - nicely done!
NecroDragon.com - my art gallery. Not for people who don't like dragons :P
Daemonslayers.com - the fate of the demon-torn world of Tymaera lies in the hands of a washed-up cursed dragon and two messed-up lycanthropes. Oh dear...

It looks good! I suggest using less contrasting colors though; maybe some brighter backgrounds and less saturated colors. Blood isn't really a bright red color, it's really dark. You did this well on page 3, though it may be too dark and indistinguishable. Keep working at it and you should find a happy medium.
Unless, of course, you plan on sticking with the b&w. If so, I think you can do much better with that, because your lighting is great, and you won't have to worry about colors. I would practice with colors though, it's a good skill to have.
As for the speech bubbles, I personally prefer the tried-and-true style of round for speech and square for narration. How did you do it with the round bubbles? Did you write the text, then try to fit the bubble around it, or the other way around? The former is the best and cleanest way to do it. It might be easier for you though to, instead of using the preset speech bubbles (I'm assuming that's what you're using) you tried just making circles around them, then adding your own pointers to them. Just make all the text in one layer, then make the bubbles one at a time in a vector layer below the text. If you don't like the way one turns out, simply undo or just transform it afterward.
I also suggest getting a new font :) Blambot is good for comic based fonts. I think some that might suit your comic are Anime Ace 2, Creative Block, Crime Fighter, Kid Kosmic, Manga Temple, or Spectre Verde (all free). They also have a good selection of sound effect fonts.
Good luck with your comic!

Thanks for the comments, I know colors aren't my strong suite, I've been doing pencil drawings since I was a kid and only recently started to really buckle down and bust out color pictures.
Though I think for practicality sake most of the book will be b&w. Both for speed sake, and cost of production later on when it hits print. Im just a broke college drop out so forking out the dough for a 30 page color book would break the piggie bank rather quickly ^.^;;
Thanks for all the input though I really appreaciate all the input and interest everyones invested.
I also went and downloaded a few of those fonts. I didn't like the one I had but couldn't find an alternative. Thanks for the advice.
Keep the comments and critiques comin ^.^

Changed my mind and decided to post an update every mon. weds. and Fri.
Page 9
More charecter conflict and self doubt and questions.
Will Akamori kill Amaranaki? Whats one more to the count? he does have a mission after all.
Stay tuned for page 10, which wraps up his encounter with Amaranaki and finally sets the stage for Honshu, the questionable village. Next time on Samurai Perfect.
