It all looks cool but if the two guys you drew first are supposed to be the two gods, loki and hades, I don't really see it... more norse influences could be incorporateed into Loki, like a pattern on his clothes or whatnot. and hades looks a bit young, I always invision the guy in his late thirties and really pale.

They look real cool though!

Loki is a shapeshifter, and in the story, he pretty much tries to look as non norse/goddish as he can most of the time.
As for Hades, Gods can choose their form, Hades chose to look this way to fit in with modern society just like Loki.

Loki sometimes wears norse armor, but other than that, he prefers to keep himself pretty blended into the crowd.

Something you should learn now:

The skulls on your characters are like, super fucking skinny. You need some space for brains in there! Also, the ear needed to be pushed back. It looks like the ear starts almost where the eye ends, which in real life would look quite odd.

Just some food for thought.

I like how you did Loki and Hades. Especially since my main comic has both of those characters in it, except Loki is the main villain. It's nice to see how different people interpret different characters and change them.

I also dig your style. It's manga, but it's a kind of cool-looking sort of thing, that I can't put my finger on. But it looks nice.

Is that the style you'll be using throughout the comic?

I understand it's manga or whatever, but the chins look really pointy. I don't know, it's probably a style thing.

The necks also look abnormally long and the poses seem a bit rigid. I like the color choice, but you put so much emphasis on the characters that the background look out of place. Also, on the plastic bullets one with the two scantily clad girls, the thumb on the right hand of the yellow eyed one is missing.

The ears are a little strange, but what do I know about manga anatomy.

Style should not be an excuse for the flaws of the illustration. It just doesn't look natural when you're trying to make it look natural.

I'm sorry if I'm coming off as condescending, or mean. I just want to help people get better, so I can leech off what you learn on your own. Also, I think you can do much better than what you're putting out.

I can't do any better than what I can do, this stuff isn't easy, and if you went forward on your own, instead of leeching as you say, you would find out just how hard it truly is.

I was just kidding about the leeching part. I'm just pointing out some stuff that doesn't look right, even with your style.

It's hard to get better, I understand.

But the best way to get better is take the constructive criticism of others, instead of letting yourself get comfortable at the point you're at.

I think there's improvement in the last two drawings, maybe it's because of the more "traditional" feeling of the lineart, I'm not sure. In the last one, maybe you could have make his arm a lil separate from the body, or change the angle a little bit to make a clearer silhouette. Also, if you go with sketchier lines, you may want to put some lines in the hair too, so they don't look like there sculpted.

The shadings is better too, less sharp than in the first drawings.

"As Kroatz flies over the stone castle with his flaming white knight sword of justice on his BMX bike, he casts off all the evil critics and cynics who tear at his comrade's artwork."

I don't see why anyone would say a stick figure comic is beautiful in anything but sarcasm.

On topic:

Nobody's picking on him. Not everything needs to be followed or begin with a compliment. They're(by that, I mean mostly me) just pointing out some things that look awkward to them. Following good Constructive criticism is the best way to get better.

Wow. Why are you all picking on Zeph?
I've seen people commenting on how beautifull stick-figure comics are... Stop whining about this!
In every image posted here I see some great use of space, everythig that needs to be drawn is drawn and it doesn't distract me if things are missing. Compositions are beautifull and I bet that if I'd check them with my photography textbooks I would find at least four general guidelines executed perfectly.
Also acadia, CHECK THE FUCKING SKULL IN HIS HAND! that's the way skulls look in Zeph's case. Every kind of animal has a different skull, judging by the fire coming from Hades his hands I'd say he isn't quite human, meaning that human anatomy shouldn't have to be applied to the guy.

I challenge everyone to post some shit of their own, I'll tear it apart.
Also Hades Revamped would look so cool as a poster.

way to spew out a bunch of bullshit.

anyways, foreshortening is a pretty lame excuse for a lack of arms, if you call that foreshortening. you say "can't do any better because this is your best" and this stuff here "isn't easy" yet here I see that you're cutting corners, and plopping down two hands on the body and calling it foreshortening.

unless he has both arms fully extended and directed at the viewer with his huge hands, that's a really awkward pose.

here's another sketch over of what it would look like as if he was beckoning at whoever he's looking at before they do the fistycuffs.
