I didn't see a topic for this already, so i figured I'd ask if ayone else has tried this wii game for themselves. I picked it up on a whim a week or so ago and it seems to further confirm my theory that the best games on the new systems are the budget titles.

For those who haven't heard of the game (I think it did only get a limited release) it is a Capcom made puzzle game that plays like a point and click adventure title. You play through a number of stages trying to get treasure chests by changing animals into items or using items and devices in the stage to solve puzzles. It uses the pointer device much like you would use a mouse in games like Sam and Max, but throws in some motion sensor controls for manipulating items (like if you pull a lever, you have to make the same motion with the wii-mote).

The stages get more challenging as you go along and you can always go back and replay them to get better times and scores. You also get puzzle-based boss fights in each area. Unlike the old Lucasarts adventure games, though, you can, and likely will die. While there is a system for ressurecting your character without restarting the stage, it reduces your points for the stage, making it a little less desireable than just rushing through the stage again.

Apparently there are also some bonus side adventures you can partake in as well as a number of collectibles you can find either in the stages themselves or through a treasure hunting option in your main base. You can even get a few upgrades for one of your characters through the treasure hunt.

Overall, I think it's a pretty fun game that adds a little twist to the adventure genre. Plus I like the cartoony presentation and the well designed stages.

Zack and Wiki is on my "Get pretty soon" list. I've heard a lot of good about it. They even say the motion controls feel like a part of the game, not a tacked-on addition. I'll probably buy it some time after Christmas.
