Wow. I understand getting distracted or giving up but really? You bought a game and never even played it? Are you sitting on an oil well or something?

I'm kind of in that situation now and then. They had a "Buy 2, get the third free" deal at Best Buy once, so I got three games all at once. But I can't keep up with all the games coming out, so one of those three hasn't even been played yet!

I can't understand these people who will go back and play a long game for the fifth time. Good games are coming out way too fast to be farting around with old stuff for too long.

That sounds fair enough. Getting the games because they're cheap, even though you have a bunch of others to play.

Still, when I get new games the first thing I do when I get back home is try them out, even if I have others I'm playing. Probably why I have so many in my pile of shame.

Technically, a game you haven't started shouldn't count. How do you finish something that never began?

I believe the only game I willingly gave up on was Jak and Daxter 2 because the required amount of perfection needed was too much for my tastes.
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

Perfection? Some parts of it were hard but never THAT hard.

Though I admit there were parts where I wanted to bust my TV in a fit of rage :l Was that level where the soldiers drop into the watery slums-type place and swarm all up on you and you have to escape in 2 or 3? If so, those JASFKJAHFHAJFJA SOLDIERS WHY WOULD THEY NOT END D<

and those racing levels... and...

okay yeah I totally understand your pain there. THAT DAMN GAME ;;

The list is unbearably long.

However, I will keep it to the ones I've played a lot of so I don't take up like two pages.

Super Mario Bros 2: I just hate this game. I hate it, I try to play it and beat it, but I hate it. SO much.

Super Mario Bros 3: I still really want to beat it, but I never really want to set aside the time to try.

Sonic The Hedgehog(s) 1-3: Again, same thing. Although I do get pretty far, but end up dying and get frustrated and fgkhfhkg.

Does it count if the game freezes RIGHT after you beat the last boss? If so, add MADWORLD to that list.

Splinter Cell is another. I just got stuck on this one part, and lost interest in it completely.

I own both of the Mega Man collections on Gamecube, and I'm thinking of trading them both off. I completed the Anniversary one fine, but the X one I haven't touched in months. The problem with both of them is, while the games are fun AT FIRST, they get to be very repetitive after the second one. All the games after Mega Man 2 on the Anniversary Collection are pretty much the same, same with X2 on the other.

Meanwhile, I've had a lot more fun with the Castlevania series as of late. While the first couple are hard as hell and a lot of gameplay elements are similar, I do feel like I'm play different games when I play the Castlevania games. I don't get that same feeling when playing Mega Man...at all. So, that's my pile of shame.

Oh god, where to start...

- the first Monkey Island game. Mainly because of distractions. I ended at the part where she gets abducted, but I could never really get back into doing what I should've been doing.

- Another game I got on ScummVM which is a little unknown treasure, which is kinda like... I suppose you could say it's sort of like 'The African Queen' with Humphrey Bogart, and a little bit of Indiana Jones meets Space Quest. The game is really funny, really light for a download, and pretty fun.

Why didn't I finish it? :/ Loss of interest. That, and for some reason, the save button decided to no longer work for me. Dunno if this was my program or the game or something. Ultimately forgot it.

- Space Quests 2 - 6. Second game's too difficult, third one gets me in the stinker all the time near the beginning, fourth game I'm stuck somewhere at the mall when I'm being chased by the sequel police, fifth game... ehhh, and the sixth game is glitchy. I got one of those CD compilation packages where they're all on CD.

Sadly, now the CD's wrecked. x.X

"ZombieToons Must Die" - hiatus. D:

We have this really old game for the NES called Legacy of the Wizard. You can play as several different characters, including some dragon thing that the enemies won't attack for some reason. I don't know what the point of the game is, where you're supposed to go, or how you're supposed to get there. It's a platform game composed of mazes. Long ones. All over the place. There's a female character that can jump really high. We used her to get to the end of one particularly hard maze, just to find that we needed a different character to get past some possibly destructible brick. Too bad you have to go back to the beginning to change character, and areas will reset once you leave. We've searched as hard as we can in all other directions we could think of to find another way, but there doesn't seem to be any way to progress in the game. After coming to that conclusion, we pretty much just never touched it again. If we haven't sold it already, I won't. I'm determined to find the way, but I never get around to playing it.
Other than that, it's a pretty fun game. It has many characters, fall damage, and is a pretty challenging game overall.
