So, what was your first time, and was it special? ^^
Where was it?

Talking about video games of course. What was the first game you ever played?

My first time was for money...

I think it was a tabletop arcade type setup... you know those ones...? It was at a big Chinese restaurant my family would always go to. I used to HATE the stinky smell, but the prawn crackers and the lady's Fingers were nice (that's just a kind of honey and pastry thing). ^^

Anyway, it was Space Invaders. ...but it could have been Galaxian, because I played that there too... I dunno.

I'm afraid I have no recollection of my first gaming affair.

Mine was something involving Pac-Man or Q*Bert, I think. Something of a blur amidst the Coleco and Atari we had back then.

The first thing I remember playing was Outlaw on the Atari, but I know I played games before that.

Sonic 1, on the Sega Megadrive. Won them in a colouring competition. I must've been... very young, don't remember it.

I dug the shit out of pretty much anything I played back then, even though I couldn't remember word one of their names (and I sucked very hard). Later, the first thing I played on the Playstation, Pandemonium almost made me choose the path of sunshine, but luckily Twisted Metal: World Tour came to the rescue.

I don't remember the first, but the earliest I can think of was Worms 2. I don't remember how old I was, but it was back before the first time I moved home.

Super Mario Bros. for the NES. (When I finally managed to wrestle the controller from my mother, that is. :P)

Tricky. For a console game, I have to say it was probably Combat on my mom's old Atari 2600. I played that with my sister for hours when I was younger.

For a computer game...I think it might have been Castle Adventure on a Tandy (model number long since forgotten).

Of course the game that probably addicted me to gaming forever and turned me into what I am now was easily Apogee's Hocus Pocus back in '92 or '93.

The earliest game I remember playing was Alex Kidd in Miracle World on the Sega Master System when I was 3. It was the version which was built into the console.

Though I was around the Nintendo and Super Nintendo times I actually didn't play a single video game until Sonic The Hedgehog was out and about.

That was the first game I played, it was great and I sucked at it back then.

Can't remember the very first. I can just about remember one of my uncles bringing Pong around to our house and plugging it into the TV and, years later, being mildly impressed with one of the TMNT games (might have been on the N64 or SNES?)

The first game that really grabbed me, though, was Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. As well as a solid story, it seemed to have so many innovative features, some of which still aren't used that much today.

I really wish I could remember. I want to say that it was some sort of arcade game, like Centipede or Galaga, but really the earliest, vivid memory I have a video game is Super Mario Bros.

I think the earliest I played may have been sampling Tetris or Super Mario Bros. at a friend's house.

The first game I actually played and not just sampled was Sonic the Hedgehog.

Now the first games that got me into gaming were Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 and Pokemon Gold Version.

(I actually did get and play Gold first, and got Yellow later at a discount sale. Suprisingly, I still like Yellow better.)

I remember being a litle kid and there was a corner shop that had tetris. I never played it but I remember watching that screen mesmerised while my mom was bying something at the store. Then when I was 7 my dad gave me snes for christmas. It came with a 32 game collection disk or whatever you called those plastic thingies which included super mario. I also got the simpsons game where you are Bart trying to save springfield from invaders.
I think I played the simpson game first since I was a huge simpson fan at the time and still is.

*Edit* Oh and the best games I ever played when I was that age, was Zelda I and II. Blody marvelous games.
Those were my two cents.

It was along time ago, but I believe it was either "Color the Dinosaur" for the NES, "Jumpstart Preschool", or "Nick JR math".

I think it was Duck Hunt something....maybe something on regular NES. Don't remember for sure.

I remember my first Playstation game was Battle Arena Toshinden! That old fighting game is still fast and awesome. Wish they would make more unrealistic fighting games like that.

Great. Now I want to play that game again (First time I played it was when I was 13- that's right- 2.5 years ago)

My memories are fuzzy, but during that time I never had NES, SNES, or any of gaming consoles in the household... but I have to say it was that game where you control a caveman with a club, beating the crap out your opponents- supposedly trying to find his family I think.

The three stooges game for NES when I was 5. Yeah, it's not a very good game and it's nearly impossible to beat but I had fun with it.

First handheld game was Pokemon blue, then Kirby's Dreamland, both excellent series.

I never did.
