Oracle of Ages and Orcarina of time (I seem to be time based). Since I just got Twilight Princess, that'll probably take over the list soon.

Link to the past was the best non-3d one i liked ^^
I havent actually completed Oot... Wind Waker was Unique
(sailing was a pain though and collecting the triforce pieces
should have been more exciting)
I loved Twilight Princess XD story was great but also cause...
Zelda dies. well, for some time. actually,
couple people almost die in the game :3 suspense <3

I'm partial towards Oracle of Seasons myself. Probably because it's the only Zelda game I've actually played, but hey.
It was really difficult though.

I'd definetely say Ocarina Of Time!!!
just loved that game as a kid and it is still one of my best game memories^^
everytime I'm sic and stays home from school, the old nintendo 64 comes out and OoT enters the stage^^
Guess I have played it a little too much by now, but I still enjoy it :)
right now I'm saving money for twilight princess..just hope that it lives up to the expectations I have on it.
nintendo has promised that it would be even better that Oot.. well I'll just have to wait and find out for myself =)
P.s have anyone of you guys played twilight yet? what do you think of it?

Oh, it is well worth it. Trust me.
Whether or not it's better than OoT is up to you, but the fact that it can compare is proof enough of how great it is.

That animation never gets old.
My favorite is still LttP. Plenty of dungeons, and two unique world maps to explore. While the later Zeldas have become a bit more epic in terms of plotlines and such, the dungeons became a bit too linear. Post LttP, you essentially had to go through the dungeons in order because either the story gives you no choice or you need the item from the the dungeon you're trying to skip, and then each dungeon was a linear tour through it. At least in LttP, I could do the Dark World dungeons in whatever order I wish barring 1, 5 (need at least the fire rod from 3), and 7 (need the fire rod, and the cane from 6), and I don't have to explore every nook and cranny to complete some of the dungeons (i.e. 1st floor of Gannon's Tower). On top of that, not every boss needed the item found in the dungeon to be properly defeated. While all the 3D games were good, I still felt there was a lack of true open-endedness compared to the offerings in the earlier games.
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

I thought it was an excellent game. It's got the best characters on any Zelda game, personality-wise. Good graphics, solid gameplay... Yeah, if you liked Ocarina you'll enjoy it.

Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask. I know I like one of them better, I just can't decide which.
I wish I could say I love Twilight Princess, but I've only played it for the Wii (I got it along with the Wii, back when I was naive enough to think I would like the system) Maybe if I get to play the Gamecube Version it will surpass the other two.
'Cause at the end Midna gets really hot, I would so hit that.

Yeah for like ten seconds of total on screen time :)
I'm not sure which is my favorite, they all have strong points, even the gamecube color ones. I'd love to replay Link's Awakening because it's been years and years... but my GBA recently died and my DS Lite won't play em. So even if I found a copy I couldn't play it. Someone oughta figure out how to emulate gameboy games or something. Of if someone already has they should tell me where I can play it T_T
Anyway. I recenly replayed Twilight Princess and it probably is my overall favorite. It's got a great story and a VERY strong character in Midna (the helper fairies in the other games were so annoying) and the battle system was really enjoyable. Being able to fight enemies in several different ways was great, usually in Zelda games there's only a limited number of ways to beat an enemy. I don't mean being able to fight as wolf or Link either, I mean lots of weapons would hurt them.
They also had really in-depth dungeons and fun puzzles and settings this time, rather than the same old 'water dungeon, fire dungeon, forest dungeon'... they had those, but they also had that cool yeti mansion, a western-theme bokoblin hunt, a sky dungeon with no floors and gives you vertigo, and arrows on horseback! Even the usual dungeons had good twists, like magnetic routes in the fire dungeon, and a water dungeon that I didn't hate like several recent zelda games I could name :D The final battle with Gannon was awesome too. Fun new weapons like the ball and chain, double clawshots, and spinner too. Although I could have done with more use of those... those were only truly useful in a couple of specific spots. :(

I really loved Link's Awakening, and I think it would be a great candidate for a remake (in the Minish Cap fashion). I was just a good solid game that thrived even on that old technology. For some reason it left me with an even better impression than the revered Link to the Past, which was excellent in its own right.
There's isn't any way to play GB and GBC games on the DS... unless you go for one of those flashcard devices You can rig them with emulators and play the games of many different consoles. They'll even play music and video files.

I agree with all of that stuff about Midna. After enjoying her so much in Twilight Princess, it made me look back at the past Zelda games and realize how bland and stereotypical most of the characters have been. I mean, you get a bit of personality out of people like Princess Ruto, but most characters are pretty Shallow. Midna was simply delightful.
You're right about the dungeons, too. No longer were they all underground caves. Sometimes I didn't even realize I was in a dungeon until I was partway through it.

Ocarina of time. I loved it so much I beat it 3 times on my 64 then the master quest version twice. Windwaker was fun, but it wasn't that great...I hated the boat travel. Twilight princess would have been awesome but I hated everything that had to do with him having to be a wolf to do certain things.
Link to the past was also awesome...but I never got a chance to beat it... D:
I need to find and buy that game.
All in all I always go back to fight Ganondorf more than once because those are usually the best battles.

Words.
As least the battle itself in Twilight Princess was cool, the final battle in OoT was just dull, and they just rehashed old ones (they did that in TP as well, but only a little bit).
Link's Awakening was the first one I ever played, and it's still my favourite today. I even got that colour version with the extra dungeon. Did anyone else figure out how to cheat that crane game?

I have a lingering fondness for Ocarina of Time - mostly because it's the Zelda game I spent most time playing. I could run around for hours just trying to find all the Gold Skullatulas and collect all the bits and bobs scattered throughout the game.
Majora's Mask and its tight time-schedule made me sort of frustrated and stressed, to be honest - I loved the gameplay and the whole deal with masks, but the three-days-and-then-you-go-back-to-the-beginning was annoying.
At the moment, I'm loving Phantom Hourglass.
