The only comic I can really remember owning and frequently reading is 'Footrot Flats' (if my memory hasn't completely forgotten what the name actually is). The closest store is about two hours away, and there's no bus, so I wouldn't know what's what in the print world. Welcome to Little Mars! ):

Online comics are too numerous to begin mentioning, 'bout every second comic on The Duck, and another bunch not on Drunk Duck. X.x

well I have to update this since things have slightly changed. Print comics remain the same although I forgot to mention the He-Man minicomics. Favourite webcomics now are Hero by Night Diaries, No Need for Bushido and Atland. Tales of the Revenant, Purgatory Tower and Edgar Allan Poo are looking spiffy so far, but they are still too young. I'll keep watching them (they are already faved, though)

Thank ya very much. :)

Yours as well, my friend! Honestly, I'm amazed at all the wonderful ideas that folks come up with for webcomics...there's alot of quality material out there.

Maybe if you wander over to my webcomic sometime, we can sit by the fire with a snifter of single-barrel bourbon and our favorite tobacco pipes!

...and yes, I do have a nice collection of handsome pipes I enjoy.)

print:
1.)Deathnote!!! It's so thought-provoking!!! I feel like I'm getting smarter when I read it!
2.) Gravitation! (although I feel like my intelligence is being sapped away when I read it... typos... TYPOS... and crazy panda machines!!)
3.) Midori Days! Everyone I know thinks it's weird. I think it's hilarious.
There are more, lots lots more, but ... I'm lazy. I don't really read many American comics, but I liked Ghost World and Fun Home and La Perdida... well, those probably count more as "graphic novels", huh.. oooh and Persepolis rocks!

I don't really read too many webcomics outside of this site... I like "Misfile" though!

I recommend "Runaways". It's an American comic in full color, but it's printed in manga size and it's only $7.99. Good deal, good comic.

In print, "Teen Titans", "Robin", "Nightwing", "52", "Gen13", and "GI Joe" are in my pullbox at my local store (I keep meaning to add "Wetworks" and "Wildcats", but I forget). "Batgirl" and "Next Wave" were also in there until recently, when both series were unfortunately cancelled, so.... On the manga front, digging "Kamikaze" and "Eden" as well, when I can pick up a volume. I've also been reading "Ultimates" and "Astonishing X-Men", but only in TPB. And, of course, "Heavy Metal".

For webcomics, I check L0cke's site on ocassion to see what new he may have done, and "Sexylosers", which Clay has, unfortunately, stopped updating. I keep thinking about IMing him and asking if he wants me to do a couple more "Home Made" comics for the guest section...just because I hate seeing the site sit idle.

NextWave was canceled? What?! Damn it, that was such a good series. But of course there were only 2 issues storylines so I guess it didn't cut off anything important.

I think Ellis said he'd have limited series of NextWave started soon, but with a different artist.

Yeah, that was my understanding. But it was wrapped up with issue 12. It wasn't like there was some cliffhanger never to be tied up.

Now if I can just get my girl to read it, for the sheer wrong.

Actually it's kind of good that Nextwave didn't go on forever. It's best as a 2 book series that parodies the superhero genre and makes fun of itself and it's characters.

I can't believe no one has mentioned my two favourite webcomics.
1) Little Dee. (for the characters)
2) Realm of Atland. (for the art and eye popping colours)

I haven't read print comics though since I used to collect the Savage Sword of Conan. Which I'm a bit embarassed about so I probably won't mention it.

You have good taste, Marine. I've heard that all those comics are good. Is "The Initiative" really a comic though? I thought it was just the "arc" of Marvel comics in between Civil War and World War Hulk?

Anyway as much as I hate to admit it, Marvel has been making better comics lately. Even Civil War, despite it's nonsensical story, was appealing because of the incredible art.

Its good stuff. A character called "The Gauntlet" is training a bunch of younger heroes in stamford. First issue was great, have yet to pick up the rest (if they're even out) I want to see it.

I'll probably pick up the trade at some point, but I can't get any new issues at the moment because I'm kind of poor. Spent too much on Ex Machina, Berserk, & All Star Superman. All of those are great by the way.

Really depends on how you define comics.

Comic Strips: I am addicted and will always be to, The Far Side. (I love the work of Charles Addams) Bizarro...and the like.

Comic Books: Number one, Preacher. Garth Ennis' Preacher is absolutly my favorite comic book. Sin City, Strangers in Paradise, Danger Girl (I am a chick,) Lenore...there are so many...I often blog about comic books. Of course the classics: Batman, JLA, (I love Wonder Woman like baseball--I don't follow it, but I sure love the idea of it.) X-MEN (Mmmm, Gambit....) Elfquest was my first intoduction to comics (when I was like fourteen) and will always have a place in my heart... (I was a big fan of the big-boobed Chaos femmes, Lady Death, Putgatory, Bad Kitty...) Fables, Sandman and Death... (And anything Buffy (season 8 is rocking) but, I can't in good conscience recommend the Buffyverse, I am a total fangirl.) Okay, I am rambling.

Webcomics...I love Morning Squirts, (Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal; although often making me laugh, isn't as witty as Squirts in my opinion.) Dork Tower cracks me up and Home on the Strange seems like they are lookin' in my window. Oh, and of course, Marital Bliss???

You should just hang out in a comic book store all day and read comics. Its free, and you can see hilarious nerds.
