What are your personal favourite print and web comics?
On the print side, I am a HUGE fan of Javier Grillo-Marxuach's "The Middleman" . Javi's also a supervising producer and writer on LOST, which is an equally awesome TV show. Check it out if you've got 3 bucks to spare.
On the interweb, I'm a fan of Kez's The War of Winds , and who isn't a fan of The Gods of Arr-Kelaan ? I also like Cortland , a Mac-centric webcomic.

On the print side of things I’m a fan of Invincible, Hsu and Chan, The Ultimates, lots of DC stuff featuring their big hitters (Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash), Lullaby, Lions Tigers & Bears, Polly and the Pirates
Ok, I’ll stop before I just start listing off everything out of my collection :P
As for webcomics, I’m a big fan of PvP, Penny-Arcade, White Ninja, The Pet Professional, Angel Moxie, Theater Hopper, VGCats and others which are escaping me at the moment.

As for my all time favorites, I'm a huge fan of Berserk, Hellsing, and 100 Bullets.
On the web side I like PVP, VGCats, No Need for Bushido, Hellbound, and (more recently) Try Everything Once. The Gods of Arr-Kelaan:Going Home was awesome too.

I don't read many print comics (on account of my having neither money nor resources-- though I am a HUGE fan of the Flight anthologies), but...
Fave webcomics right now: Panda Xpress, Patches, Random Pirate Comics, A Lesson Is Learned But The Damage Is Irreversible, The Daily Droop, Acid Zen Wonder Paint, Instant Classic, Indietits, Checkerboard Nightmare (I know it's defunct, but still), CulturePulp, Astronaut Elementary, and, most recently, Dresden Codak. Oh, yeah, and anything by D. Merlin Goodbrey.

PS: NO, Css, I didn't forget Assassin Assassin... It's on there too... just look real hard...

I like Runaways and Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go. Then there's She-Hulk and Y the Last Man.
As for Webcomics, my absolute favorites are/were RPGWorld, Wapsi Square, Gunnerkrigg Court, Van Von Hunter and Yenny. But, I read like 40 of them simultaneously anyway.

It's true, I did read your post a few times to see if somehow you had minimized the print in certain areas or something....(damn time waster!:P)
Funnel Cake? I think it's in Nebraska. Maybe Idaho.

Print stuff:
Cable & Deadpool, Deadpool, X-Factor (issues 70-111, mostly), The Losers, The new She-Hulk. The Ultimates, Demo, Runaways, probably a ton of other crap I'm forgetting, but I don't feel like digging through all of my comics to jog my memory
Web stuff:
Overcompensating, Questionable Content, Something Positive, Nothing Nice to Say, Penny Arcade, The Last Day of FOXHOUND, Joe and Monkey, Rob and Elliot, Niego (though it's over), VG Cats, Culture Shock
And Sluggy still holds a special place in my person, even though I haven't really read it for about two years.

I probably should have included Knock on Wood also because I read it regularly. Not every strip is great, but y'know, with 7 updates per week you get some really good ones.

And have you seen all the webcomics out there? No. So you can't immediately assume that all of them suck. That's just like my English classmate Claire assuming all animation sucks from watching only Disney movies.

Can't say I've read any print comics in a long time, they just became too expensive here... but I last used to read Judge Dredd
My webcomic favourites are pretty much most of those mentioned already... but anyways, they'd be *inhales* Applegeeks, Chisuji, Exterminatus Now, Machall, Megatokyo, 8-bit Theatre, Penny-Arcade. Snafu Comics, VGCats, Weeble and Bob, and Homestar Runner. *phew*

Ah, Calvin and Hobbes... I always get so nostalgic whenever I read that for some reason. But it is one of the best comics ever made. Ever.
Samurai Deeper Kyo is a pretty good print comic series, if a little cliche at times. However, I was really inspired by that comic and it helped me improve my actions scenes dramatically.
Hmm... favorite webcomics?
Pinky TA, Earthbound, The WAVAM Project, Strange Case, Assassin Assassin, Try Everything Once, leveL, Cat Legend, Kagerou, Lick My Jesus, File 49, Grand Blue Door, Vampire Phantasm, i <3th Darth, Zap!, Sinfest, Questionable Content, No Rest for the Wicked, and there are probably others I can't remember.
I used to like 9th Elsewhere, but it doesn't update anymore and it's become really trite and boring. Fallen is another comic I like(d) but it doesn't update anymore either. :/

There was a level of care put back into comics that can only be seen in comics after Calvin and Hobbes.

I don't read many print comics anymore - Calvin and Hobbes is one of my favorites. As for running paper strips, my top three are Foxtrot, The Boondocks, and Doonesbury. Magic Knights Rayearth is another printed I like, favorite manga I guess you would say.
My favorite webcomics - Alpha Shade , Flipside , No Rest For the Wicked , and Kemikal War Fair are the ones that come to mind -
