I think you can definitely learn a lot about a person via their musical taste. I'll limit my list to a top 5 or I'll stand the risk of passing out at my keyboard.

The slashes are because they're essentially the same band if you want to get technical. HOWEVER If you want to get REALLY technical they're not the same band at all! Hooray!

EDIT: Fern, have you checked out the band Beirut? I think you would really dig them based solely on your list.
