i found out completely out of left field about my nomination. i'm still stoked, especially to be nominated alongside one of my favorites, last place comics.
....i mean uh... PPFFF lpc's got nuthin. NUTHIN.
whether i win or lose, it's all been very exciting, and thanks a ton to everyone who thought of me when they filled out their ballot :D

Hey ho! I'm also very pleased not only for my nominations, but also for having really good competition. I'd hate to lose to a comic that I personally thought was crap, but it's a different situation entirely since I actually nominated some of my competition! I don't think my chances are too good personally, but I'm happy that a deserving comic will win regardless.

Guess what, guys!! Platinum Studios has graciously offered to print a list of the winners in their October 2008 publications! That will be some awesome free press for some of our DD talent which is really exciting ^.^ A big thanks to PS for their involvement here.
Now the winners get something tangible rather than just the banners we're making and the respect/admiration of your peers! (Those things are still pretty freakin' sweet, though.)

I posted the list of nominees to my MySpace page, maybe it would give the artists a boost in their readership. If everyone with a MySpace page did that, and urged all their friends to pass it on, we could create some kind of viral promotion or something............

I just got done buying a custom made frame to rip out the page of Hero by Night that "Funniest Drunkduck User: Lefarce" will be printed on, so I can tell the tale of how I was the biggest bully in the sandbox to my children. One day they will register accounts, and so begins my glorious legacy.

Hopefully everyone will check out our latest comic drawn by fellow nominee Corey Dye from Raw fish and there will be no doubt that Morning Squirtz is the most offensive comic on DD and as far as deliciousness goes even Andrew Zimmerman wont eat us.
