lol I'd probably be using actors/actresses who aren't too well known for MAG-ISA. Yep. Even if I had all the money in the world.

Because there has to be guidelines like height, weight, skin color, resemblance to character, etc...

(OMG I FEEL SO RACIST/DISCRIMINATORY... DONT HATE ME... :( )

So far:

Eman Cruz - Not yet sure. Should be of Asian origin (preferrably Filipino)... black hair, brown skin... Height range between 5'0 - 5'5. Age between 18-25.

Claudita - Not taller than 5'6... not shorter than 5'2. Weight between 100-120 lbs. The Claudita and Eman characters should have identical height. Or with Claudita slightly taller. Could be played by a white girl or asian girl or mixed white and asian... or red-hair. Age between 18-25.

Nathaniel - Most likely played by white dude height range 5'11-6'2. Must have spikey hair... weight about 160-170 lbs. Age between 25-30.

Ricky - white guy. Must have long hair. Height between 5'6-5'10. Age between 18-25.

Tyrone - black guy. Height betweeen 5'6 - 6'0. Must not be too muscular. Age between 18-25.

Eman's Parents - Asian origin (preferrably Filipino). Must look like their late 40s.

Extras - doesn't matter. Need probably 200 of them. Though maybe 20 of them should be buff and have crewcuts. As they play the part of the SWAT team. Also around 20-30 should be middle eastern looking and look physically fit. Or whatever. We can improvise. Just cover your faces with a handkerchief and carry the AK-47.

The rest will just be walking around you know... in the bus stop, in the mall, in the school, in the apartment, in the big big rally, everywhere. :)

stuntmen - we need maybe around 50... required to run and fall like an explosion or accident. Or to fill in for the fight scenes.

stuntwomen - just to fill in for Claudita, Lucia, and Alice.

Fr. Jose Penafrancia - Asian or slightly hispanic looking. Must look late 40s or early 50s. Height range between 5'8-6'0. Just don't be shorter than Eman Cruz ok. Martial arts training an asset. Preferrably trained in Filipino Martial arts or Muai Thai or Brazilian Jujitsu. Or EX-military. lol!

Liana Chavinski - Caucasian. Not taller than 5'8.

Lucia Liwanag - Asian-Caucasian mix preferred. Not taller than 5'9. Must be slightly taller than Claudita. Martial Arts (martial arts) training an asset.

Kyle - 6'0 to 6'5 white guy who weighs between 200-250 lbs. MA training an asset.

Chu - Strictly Asian. Not taller than 6'0 tho. MA training an asset.

Alice - as long as you look good with purple hair... not taller than 5'5. MA training an asset

Demons - animated CGI. Voice it doesnt matter. Use digital voice altering software.

Theme Song: Must be played by COG, GREYHOUNDZ, OR SLAPSHOCK. Or just give those aspiring rappers/rockers/singers a chance.

--------

Omg.... I might just have this animated like that new Ninja Turtles movie. This sux. haha.

OMG I FEEL SO RACIST. :( SORRY!!!

(lol... movie casting can make me feel guilty... :( )

Director?
Andy Tennant. I don't know much about directors or anything, but he directed Hitch and Ever After along with a few other movies that have the type of mood similar to my comic.

Actors:

Sandra Bullock as Kaida -- I think she has the perfect features and can do the emotional range needed for the part. Kaida is sarcastic and witty but also deeply troubled and sensitive deep inside

Reese Witherspoon as Yuki -- A multidimensional, sometimes empty-headed but surprisingly bright and always very sexy woman.

Thora Birch as Seiko -- Honestly a dead ringer. She's got a cute face, and few other actresses really have the look.

Aaron Eckhart as Fudo -- Mostly for the rugged good looks (the pronounced cleft in the chin is cool too). Several of the roles I've seen him in remind me of (younger) Fudo.

Zachary Levi as Brad -- Again, mostly based on looks. He's got a good smile too, which is important for Brad, since he smiles a lot.

Johnny Galecki as Tristan -- I don't know why. He just seems to be the best fit for the role.

Mark Addy as Toyo -- An adorable overweight guy and a good actor. Can't be any better.

I know absolutely none of the younger actors out there, so I can't really cast my two teen characters Alex and Mike. Eh. That's okay. This is a good lineup of my core cast aside from that.

Other Stuff:

I think a live action movie could be adapted from my comic. It would work in live action better than a cartoon or CG thing. I'll have to ponder over voice actors if it was a cartoon.

For me comic I would personally have:

Director:

Don Bluth (because he was a great Disney classic director)

Actors:

Animated movie with:

Travis =Corbin Bleu
Andy =Nancy Cartwright
Riley =Brian Bedford
Leah =Dakota Fanning
Raphael =Peter Falk

...

I just like those peoples voices.

I can't think of a theme song. :(

Updates Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday's (depends).

For The Path ?

Director and Musical Score: John Carpenter

Chance McGavin: Kurt Russel http://imdb.com/name/nm0000621/
In previous conversations, I'd mentioned wishing Viggo Mortensen could play Chance...but Chance is based off of two Kurt Russel characters (MacReady in The Thing and Jack in Big Trouble in Little China), the more things get played out in my head...the more I KNOW Kurt is the only guy to play Chance.

Kat: Amy Davidson http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0203221/
She's cute, but not unrealiztically "hawt", and young-looking enough to be a stark contrast to Kurt's Chance. I think the pair would make a good team on-screen. Plus, since I work with her boyfriend...she's the most realistic "I could get her to play this" on this list.

Nyarlathotep: Anthony Hopkins (voice)http://imdb.com/name/nm0000164/
Trust me on this one.

Pop/Edward: John Hurt http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000457/
(John Hurt is just awesome in everything he does. As Prof. Bruttenholm in Hellboy, he's proven he can be caring and sarcastic at the same time...which is exactly the kind of character Pop is)

Inanna: Lena Headey http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0372176/
She's beautiful and she's bad-ass. She showed in 300 that she can have a commanding presence. Inanna's a goddess of war and fertillity, and Lena Headey looks like she's fit the bill perfectly.

Ratatosk: Hugo Weaving (voice) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0915989/
This one's total guilty pleasure. As I wrote The Path, it was always Weaving's voice in my head for Ratatosk...so I couldn't imagine anyone else doing the role.

Wolf(as werewolf): Kevin Grevioux http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0340485/
Just watch "Underworld" and you'll see why he has to be werewolf-form Wolf
Wolf(as child): Ryan Malgarini http://www.ryanmalgarini.com/
Part of what makes Wolf such a tragic character is that he's really just this sweet kid with a shitty lot in life. Look at this kid...he practically sweats "cute", slap some scars on him and he's perfect as Wolf's human side.

Everyone else would pretty much be extras, slimy puppets, cameos, and CGI.

The Adventures of Superchum and the Mighty Befrienders would have to be an animated feature.

Director: Brad Bird (the guy who wrote and directed The Incredibles).

Voice actors for the cast ...

Superchum: Drew Carey (Why Drew? Superchum's from the Ohio/Cleveland area, and Drew could pull off the character I bet).

his sidekick Friend: James Van Der Beek (Why Dawson? Because Friend's version of friendliness is a bit unhinged and I think the guy who played Dawson could pull that off properly).

his other sidekick Girlfriend: Poppy Montgomery or Angie Harmon. (Either one of these actresses could give me the voice I have of Edith in my head).

Baron Bad-Guy: Gene Hackman (This is a no-brainer. I recognize his voice easily enough and know he can play the role of evil mad scientist villain already).

Freezie-Freeze: Neal Patrick Harris (Freezie is a bit uptight, and Doogie's kind of being typecast like that with How I Met Your Mother ... he'd be perfect for the role).

Moonbeam: Brad Garrett (Moonbeam is a bit gruff and Brad Garrett again has the perfect voice for the role).

The Anti-Chum: Jason Alexander (Anti-Chum rants when I write him. Jason Alexander can do rants really well).

I could list more cast (because the story would be drawn from my previously published work), but I haven't introduced them here on Drunk Duck yet, so no one would get it.

Oh man, finally a place that I could shine through! I love movies, have way too much knowledge about directors and producers, and I'll probably add a few too many details here.

The Temple of a Thousand Tears

Director: Ryuhei Kitamura (although the comic is based on the black and white movies of Akira Kurosawa). His work on such flicks as Versus, Alive, and Azumi would fit perfectly with my vision of a movie based on my comic. The man knows action and character development, and can do things with a camera that seem impossible. His lighting and cinematography would fit the tone, and he never holds back on the violence - just like me.

Cast:

The Swordsman - Ryan Reynolds - he has the build I'm looking for, and if he could just tone down the humor / sarcasm long enough to be incredibly depressed, he could totally pull off the look I want.

Seymour - Michael Clark Duncan - because The Green Mile proved that he could be a giant care bear, and that's what this character is in my kind, although also highly insightful.

Julian - John Hurt - because his depiction of Trevor Broom from Hellboy was spot on for what I imagine this character as being.

Shiri - Yun Ju Kim - because she's one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen in my entire life, and also the star of the movie by the same name. You can also catch her on the TV show LOST.

Marielle - Jessica Beil - although her mouth sometimes distracts me, she's a very athletic and physically capable actress (despite how bad it was, Blade Trinity was an interesting flick to watch her in). She can do action, and that's important for later in my story.

Abraham - A younger Haley Joel Osment would do this nicely, but he's getting a bit old to play a 10 year old these days. I would need someone who could act with grim determination in the face of overwhelming adversity, and who wouldn't look goofy in makeup (oh, almost gave that one away...wait until chapter 6 for details).

Artimis - Hands down, Kate Beckinsale is my vote for this. She started off in dramatic roles, and know how to play a good wide range of emotion - especially a tortured soul, and that's what Artimis can be at times (wait for the prequel The Legend of Abraham, coming in 2008).

Cardinal Milikin - Michael Rosenbaum can be both bald, and a villain. And he can pull off both very very well. He can be calm and crazy at the same time, and that's what this character is - calm, determined, and very very crazy. Expect to see him appear in Chapter 6.

Lord Malukai - This is a tough one to cast, as the character is very complex but only appears for a short period of time (despite how important they are to the story, especially at the end and in the prequel Bushido). I would either have to go with a very in-shape Gary Oldman or Jason Isaacs. Both can pull off long dark hair, and both are incredible actors that can do insane and bloodthirsty. And this Holy Enforcer for the Holy Order of Abraham is very bloodthirsty.

The Man with Beady Eyes - Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), or a CGI model. This guy has to be absolutely HUGE, with a deep crating voice and a personal vendetta against the swordsman. Oops, I'm getting into plot points....

The Tojin Gang Leader - Ziyi Zhang - She has the physical beauty and grace of a dancer, and the ability to be vile and evil at the same time. She's not really an evil character, though - just misunderstood. In the movie, her role would be expanded from what I had it in the comic....

Music by Yoko Kanno - her diverse musical scores have inspired so many pages of my comics, she could find the right fit for this samurai / sci-fi / fantasy story. She can pull off trance (Ghost in the Shell: The Stand Alone Complex), choir (Escaflowne), jazz (Cowboy Bebop), and mixes of all genre of music (Arjuna, Macross Plus). She's nothing shy of stunning!

Wow, great imaginary casts, everyone!

ShinGen: those are spot on! Especially Ryan Reynolds as Genesis!

UsedBooks: Thora Birch! Haven't seen her in a while, and I've had a crush on her ever since I was a kid!

Trevor: I keep imagining the Swordsman as Sully Erna, and Owen Wilson crossed my mind, too, but Ryan could actually pull it off, too. And I heart Yoko Kano, I listen to something of hers almost every day, mostly "Kiseki no umi" from "Lodoss War" or "Call Me Call Me" from "Cowboy Bebop"

Hyptosis: those are all amazing look-a-likes, especially Christopher Walken and the Shaman. And maybe, just maybe, I'd cast Sean Bean as Sadat instead of Clancy Brown.

My picks would be:

Director: Hayao Miyazaki (studio Ghibli - 'nuff said!) or Shinchiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop). I love how those directors can create a unique, dreamy mood, and that's what my comic is all about in the visual aspect.

Music: I keep hearing "Falling" by Julee Cruise and David Lynch in my head. Kind of fits the main subject, even if it's toooooo dreamy. Btw, for those who don't know, that's the music theme from "Twin Peaks". My other picks would be some of my myspace friends, either the Invisible Animals or Twilite.

The cast... Now that's a toughie. I only have three main characters, and I keep hearing myself speaking both Ryan's and Mick's parts (with different voices), and Erica didn't have the chance to talk yet. At other times, I imagine Ed Norton as Mick. And I guess America Ferrera could do voice-over for America.

Erica will kill me for saying that lol!

For Vampire Phantasm ....

Director: It may sound predictable, but Tim Burton.
With music by Danny Elfman and/or Radiohead. Haha. XD

Live action Cast:
As much as I'd like to participate in the "actor pic post" for this, there aren't any everyday actors I have noticed that I think could play my characters. So probably all unknowns.

Voice actors are a different matter though if it were animated, I'm more willing to name big actors.

EDIT: Ew. I think I'll go back and fix up this voice actor list...
Voice actor Cast:
Jack: Brad Dourif or Tim Roth
Jill: Milla Jovovich? ...her voice is kinda cool.
Topaz: Steve Buscemi! XD
Vallov: Clancy Brown - (He could probably play him live action too...)
Orlock: ???
Raff: Christian Slater or Bill Moseley
Ren: Fairuza Balk

Hasn't this topic been made a whole shit load of times? I know I've done this at least a half dozen times. I always fill it out anyway, because each time, i almost completely change my mind about a movie cast.

First and foremost, I think Dasien would have to be animated. Whether CG or traditional animation, it really makes no difference. Live action really isn't an option for Dasien, since that would require alterations to the costumes that I'm not willing to make. If I was to go CG, though, I think I'd go with Kevin Munroe. I'm not looking for an academy awared winning feature. Munroe did a decent job on TMNT, and so that's why I'd go with him.

Anyway, onto the cast. My cast choice is fairly atypical, because I'm really not concerned with popular actors. I'm more interested in who can bring the performance that I want. Thus, if my cast seems to lack star power, even for an animated movie, that's why. For example, casting people like Sarah Michelle Gellar or Lindsay Lohan would be, in my opinion, totally asinine, because we're never going to see their faces anyway.

For Dasien, my first choice has always been Gillian Anderson. Gillian has a sexy, mature-sounding voice, that I think would help to balance most of Dasien's sillier characteristics. Besides, it's always been the voice I hear when I play the scenes out in my mind. I'm used to "hearing" that voice, and I think it works.

For Parker Lynn Bailey, I think I'd go with Erin Daniels. Not to typecast or anything, but Erin has a nice smarminess to her voice that matches Parker's snippiness rather nicely. And ironically, if there could be a live action Dasien movie, Erin Daniels is one of the few choices here that could actually pull of the physical representation of the character!

Lord Crimson's voice, to me, has to be both youthful and dark. It's kind of a tough call to make, but I think I could settle for someone like Danny Masterson, even though that's a hasty choice. However, I've never exactly had a solid grasp of what Crimson sounds like. I'd probably audition unknowns until I found the right guy.

Rouge is everything that Crimson is not. She's optimistic, full of life, and ambitious, which makes her role as a villain somewhat troublesome for her. Like Crimson, I really don't have a solid point of reference as far as what she sounds like. The problem is that if there are any actresses that have the right voice, I can think of none that would have the talent to play her. I think Rouge's voice would be determined by a lengthy casting session. Unknown, but open for suggestion.

Maroon is the snide and jealous character. He kind of murmurs things under his breath and speaks with open contempt. For him, I think I'd have to cast someone similar to Vincent D'Onofrio. But again, that's a hasty choice. Maroon would also require a casting session.

Ruby's voice is up in his nose, and he's kind of a snivveling toad. I think I'd contract John Truitt, best known for his role as Ghaleon from the Lunar series of games, to play the role. John has such an elegant way of speaking. Perfect for Ruby.

My choice for Red is quite simple. Mark Hamill. No contest there. The man can disguise his voice quite well, so I think he'd be perfect for the big oaf. Brad Garrett is also a possible second choice.

The Gooch's voice needs to be both dark and subtle. For that, I think I would use Clive Revill. My second choice would be Cory Burton.

Even though Patrick Warburton is known for playing loud, charasmatic characters, I think I'd cast him as Max anyway. Max has kind of a low-pitched voice that's within Warburton's range.

Goldie's voice would have to be Katie Sagal. It's another case where I've made the vocal association in my mind, and I'm used to hearing it that way. If I couldn't get Sagal, I'd insist on a sound-alike.

And last but not least, the part of Dave would be played by yours truly. Hey, the guy only has one line. I think I could handle that.

What Director: Steven Speilberg just for the laughs

What Main characters: paff: goerge clooney, piff: me, and Ragnar Branting would be Jessica Alba even though Ragnar is a guy.

And why these people? for the laugh factor really. piff is essentially me anyway.

Hmm... the first Bulletproof storyarc wouldn't necessarily make the greatest movie, I think, but if I was to use the characters I've introduced so far for a BP movie, here's what I would do....

Director: Bryan Singer

I loved his two X-Men movies, and overall, they basically have the flavor I would go for. Relatively "realistic", insofar as that's possible in a superhero movie, and not too dark - hence why I'm not saying Chris Nolan. I love Batman Begins to death, but Bulletproof isn't that dark. Also, Singer has shown with X-Men and Usual Suspects that he can pull off movies with extensive ensembles.

Visual FX: WETA workshop.

Because duh. They completely knocked it out of the park with the LOTR movies, Richard Taylor is a fucking GOD AMONG INSECTS, and the man was a puppeteer on Meet the Feebles, for Pete's sake. Frankly, I'd want to make this movie just so I could work with him.

Shockwire/Lindsay McGregor

Michelle Ryan. Yes, that's the new Bionic Woman chick. She's close enough as far as the look goes, and she could pull off both the hot geek and the superheroine, methinks.

Benjamin McGregor

Treat Williams. I need a big, fatherly guy for this one, and Williams practically played the same part in Everwood already, so he's the man for this role.

David McGregor

Shia LaBeouf. Unrealistic choice given that he would have about 15 minutes of screentime max, but he would be sooo utterly perfect for that scene in issue 2 where Davey and Lindsay are screaming at each other in the living room.

Megan

Lauren Ambrose. Cute, curvy little redhead? Check. Can act? Check. And she's a bit too old to be playing a college freshman, but I think she could still pull it off. Her character in SFU also seems much younger than Ambrose actually is.

Skulhedd

The voice of Joe Pesci plus a CGI model, obviously. He does slightly comical, but still terrifying lunatics like nobody else. There's also no amount of money that would convince him to lend his voice to a 15-foot cyborg with a flamethrower, but oh well.

Vector

Casper Van Dien. He's got the square-jawed look, and he played a militaristic douchebag who loves the sound of his own voice when he's barking orders in Starship Troopers, so he's perfect.

Whiplash

Autumn Reeser. Whiplash's face was originally based on Jamie Luner, but she's too old now, so we'll have to go with someone else... Reeser is close enough as far as the look goes, and she did the bouncy personality on The O.C., so it would work. Well, with a ton of CGI. I don't know how anyone would pull off the tail without making it look dumb, but I did say I want WETA for the FX.

Shyft

Ali Larter. Shyft is the super-hot gym queen who radiates "I'm way out of your league". Plus Larter's on Heroes, so she's got geek cred.

Blitz

Aaron Eckhardt. He totally has the look, and he's a great actor.

Dr. Keller

Ian McKellen. Because he looks right, because he rules, and because he played Magneto, so he can do comic book bad guys without making them seem campy.

Man, I got too many characters. *lol*
Also, this board doesn't work on Safari, and it annoys the heck out of me.

I really don't know who I'd like in a movie based on my comic... But I would love to see Hollywood try to make a live-action HVH film. I can't even imagine Erag or Essence looking realistic.

What Main characters: paff: goerge clooney, piff: me, and Ragnar Branting would be Jessica Alba even though Ragnar is a guy.

I'll bet if this movie becomes reality you'd draw a certain sex scene in the story ASAP.

I couldn't as my ninja-pirate crew and zombie-robot army would abandon me.

Right, for my work-in-progress comic Colours of Magic, I would have :

Director - Whatever guy who made the X-Men films

Main Characters :

Pent the Spirit Mage - No idea...
The Mana Mage - Shawn Ashmore (Iceman from X-Men series)
Soul Mage - Ben Foster (Angel from X-Men)
Twilight Mage - Ken Leung (kid omega from x-men)
Grave Mage - (who turns out to be a girl) Meiling Melançon (psylocke from x-men)

Theme song - Crush 40.

Although I would also like to see Chaos Emeralds Z as a full-length animated movie, with voice actors from DrunkDuck itself.
I once tried to smoke lettuce. It rocked!!

Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7

haha, great stuff, also on ocean's comment, I love good movies that have actors I've never heard of before. It is like you really get to experience the character instead of the actor.

Which is exactly why I hate this kind of threads most of the time. Most ppl usually come up with actors/tresses who are:

- Too famous.
- Too old.
- Not the right ethnicity.

Like SteveMyers, I would also have American007 CG'ed. So, I pulled up a list of actors from various TV shows/animes/movies/games.

Tiffany "Elementiss" Carson - Tara Strong (Raven in Teen Titans)

Scott "Chill" Ridley - David Kaufman (Danny in Danny Phantom)

Raphael "Sonic Morph" Hahn - Steven Blum (Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop)

Clyde "Inferno" Jeeves - Jason (Jaxon) C. Lee (Shigeru Aoba in Evangelion)

Samuko "Shadow Stalker" Kiershi - Amanda Winn Lee (Rei in Evangelion)

Tybalt "Mindbruise" Firephal - Ralph Lister (Walter C. Dolnez in Hellsing)

Cthulhu - Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime in the classic Transformers cartoons, as well as in the movie)

Amy Hahn (Or Rose) - Allison Keith (Misato in Evangelion)

Robotnik/Eggman - Mike Pollock (Present VA for Eggman in the Sonic Games)

Shadow - David Humphrey (Former VA for Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2)

Luminus - Ron Perlman (Slade in Teen Titans

Baurus - John Dimaggio (Bender in Futurama)

Morir Twins - Bella Hudson (Blaze the Cat in Sonic the Hedgehog series)

Nack the Weasel - Josh Phillips (Jan Valentine in Hellsing)
