I'm up to July 20th. I need to do a few more to make sure I'm covered on vacation. (I also have around 310 more pages scanned but not cleaned up and ready yet.)

I have to colour mine in bulk (around three or four at a time) so I'm never rushing on the day in question to update. I always also have some drawn and ready to go. There was a point when I had some thirty or so drawn ahead of time...

Wow marine, its like you didn't even have to spend time drawing them.

Well updating only twice a week is nice right now sense i have a good amount of pages already drawn. All i have to do is ink, scan, and clean.

I have the next week and a half already inked and all... just need to scan...

Vast majrority of the new material contains newer characters. Also I uploaded two story arcs, ones seven pages the other ones ten. The ten page story I've had done for awhile too. Its not easy to draw new stuff up either.

I've more in a random pile that I made over a month ago that I've not even touched. If I get desperate for an update, I'll use them. I was just afraid that my interweb might crap out on me because a downed powerline. Usually a months about right to get something like that fixed, so I tried to upload some stuff. I almost went into the random pile, but I decided to just make new pages instead, post two story arcs I had done, and shazzam. I've uploaded 20 pages. I have to re-upload the second batch, as the dates it uploads them on is wrong. Isn't that lovely?

When I initially started at DD, I uploaded the first book in about 3 days. That's 38 pages. Then I uploaded the first 8 pages of Book Two in 1 day. That left me about a month ahead. Had I not been quite so eager, I'd probably have 3 months' worth of backlog.

That said, however, I'm glad I did what I did because we've gotten some incredible feedback on what's already up. And I'm convinced that's spurred me on to do the recent experiments in inking and color.

So, as of right now, I have only a few weeks of backlog but I'm inspired to keep it at that level. I hope to crank out at least 2 new pages a week while still ahead. :)

I upload when I finish a page. =p I wish I could have a huge buffer, but unless I stop updating entirely for a month, it's just not feasible for me to catch up with myself at the moment, lol.

Well, I have some 35 updates ready to be uploaded when I can steal some internet, so I'd say I'm doing okay at the moment. Usually I'm not that good with the buffer, but it feels great. And Having a good buffer for me is so easy. Really, it's like cheating, so easy is it. Shame on me.

Hmm, is it on purpose there's two updates listed for the 14th marine?

Because I may as well show a bit of pride. ^___^

I usually finish pages a day or two in advance. I'd probably be able to get three pages done a week... But I have the attention span of a cocker spaniel, so it's hard to stay focused on working.
It's a comic!

I've got like 12 extra pages sketched and ready to be colored, but my colorist does the hard work, and I usually give her the pages 2 at a time and let her have her way with them. Last few times they've come in at like 11:58 pm on Wednesday, just in time for me to update them on Thursday at like 12 or 1.

But even when I do have extra pages, I don't like to do the auto-update thing. Damn robots, taking jobs away from honest-working humans like me! D:<

This is something I have a problem with.

I wish I had a regular update schedule. Heck, I wish I could update everyday. But my pages just take so darn long to make @_@. It takes 2-4 days worth of work to draw and color only 2 pages. Depending on how much is on one page, it takes that much time for just one. Maybe I will pick two days to consistantly update instead of having to updating sporradically. I just wish I had an extra set of arms. D:

I gotta say thanks, Marine. You intrigued me to find out exactly how to use the system to upload a couple of weeks' worth at a time for future live dates. Crazy me was doing it the old fashioned way and staying up till midnight to upload.

I feel so silly now... :dizzy:

I won't acknowledge that the mighty Doctor Doom could've made a mistake. Actions have been taken to rectify this situation, and a suggest post will be made to protect future users from having to delete a ton of updates only to then re-do them.

My dream to get enough comics together before to do a whole years worth of material without any involvement from me. That way I could be completely autonomous. I'd have to find some type of code that would allow me to post "I LOL'd" images in the appropriate threads and to make spangy look like a butt. Course there is no subsitute for the REAL marine, but like my contemporary Doctor Doom, I've used Doombots in my place before, that way my reach extends further and further.

The comic update schedule doesn't seem that bad to maintain. Doing Vinhead's a pain in the ass though. On top of that, I've a backlog of stuff to code into the about me page, and a ton of lovely poetry to add. I'm also trying to develop several dynamic games that could compete with what Volte6's produced. On top of that, I've been working on animations and am also considering doing a monthly podcast that could be a few hours long and provide a large amount of content. Right now, I'd be willing to state that I have more features on my page than anyone else on drunk duck. Surely theres something you'll like, if not my daily rants, my daily comic, the ever popular Vinhead pages, my in depth biographies on my about me page, the as yet unrevealed games page, my fake poetry parody page, an articles page, a page I called panels where random panels from penis line up to make a strange comic stranger. Also cocks.

The average penis page from conception to the internet can take an upwards of 9 or 10 hours depending on how elaborate I want it to be. Just the other day, I had one that seemed to take forever. I'd draw it, re-draw it, re-do it. I thought about how to change it. How to really make it funny, then I thought I should make it more violent, so I had to re-draw the bone going through his leg, then I thought I should make it star another character, so I had to re-do the entire page. The idea for it took awhile to come up with. Everywhere I got I take a notepad or my laptop and jot stuff down. I'm also experimenting with drawing using the little mouse thing in the laptop. Some pages just come together naturally. Its not as easy as it looks. Todays page I spent a little more time drawing out and wrote a long rant to counter all the constructive criticism I got in the comic review stuff.

You just don't get it do you? I'm trying to make penis a parody of bad web comics. In order to do that, penis has to look as terrible as possible while still maintaining at least some aesthetic value artistically. I put a lot of thought and effort into every panel of penis, even if it is just cut and pasted at the end of the day. Almost all the characters have little details nobody ever notices. I draw it all myself with a mouse, a lot of people can't even get to that step. I like doing my comic the way I do it, its how its done period. Had I done it with construction paper instead of flash, I'd be featured on the front page for my original idea. I've thought about doing it without drawing it like this (I keep playing with the idea of using photographs) but at the end of the day, for penis to work, it has to be cut and pasted. If it wasn't done that way, I'd want it done with the most detailed artwork possible from someone like Subculture or Coydog.

I'm sure people would still not like my work just because of me. I'm sick and tired of hearing this same broken record over and over again. My penis ain't changing. Your views of it are what should change.

I usually go for a twice a week update, since I'm keeping a life and working on other types of material. It's probably the most rational for me, as once a week puts me behind and three times a week is just goddamn overkill.

I always have my updates done, 2 weeks in advance, since summer started(and I update 3 times as many pages as durring the school year). Not recently though. We've been gone for a week, so now I am getting behind; but I am sure I will be back on track by the weekend...After all, comic remix is starting soon...
