i thought this was going to be released in theaters, but they didn't even make a lot of commercial for the release of the DVD.

ditto...I read about this a while back and it just came out on DVD. I have in the queue at Netflix so looking forward to seeing this one.

I have seen this actually. The animation is all 3D and really beautiful. Unfortunately the story and characters are all banal.
