So I heard a rumor from one of my friends. It goes like this.

Bungie broke away from Microsoft.

Most of you probably see the implications of this: Halo would be cross-platform. Halo on PS3 would probably boost it's (PS3's) sales, since most people I've asked (not on internets) about why they chose the 360 over the PS3 said "Halo 3".

Of course, it's probably not true. I thought I'd ask you guys though.

Bungie is indeed a third party now, but will continue to work with Microsoft, this just gives them a chance to play with other platforms as well.

Halo will remain a Microsoft product though, even going as far to have other developers create the next version if Bungie declines to.

So no generic sci-fi shooter 4 for the PS3.

Oh well. I'm actually reading what Bungie said about it in a new tab right now. I'll edit this post with an update when I'm done.

EDIT: Ok, what I just read said that they will "Focus on Microsoft". I can see this happening. However, I can also see them deciding to go cross-platform on pretty much anything if Microsoft doesn't shell out enough money. I guess I can hope.

Not that I'm too concerned about Halo for me to play it. I'd just like for the PS3 to get a little recognition. :cry: Poor guy...

I had heard they were looking into developing a few titles on Nintendo consoles, particularly the DS, but were waiting for the market to pick up on the PS3 before investing in the dev kits.
