Just dont make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry!
If a web comic I like doesn;t update often enough I turn green and wreck stuff!
It is really more of a problem for me then the web comic writer though, since I'm at a computer in my house....

Oh yeah, cthonic is deffinitely my main rival when it comes to talking on forums!!
I'm always crossing swords with him!

Hmmmm....As the only author/artist of a humor comic about a dragon, I'm kinda lonely in the rival department.

However, in the spirit of the thing, I shall dub zaymac as my official rival because he may not have dragons, but he does have talking animals and quirky humor.

So Zaymac ol' friend, its Bear vs. Dragon now!

But George seems like such a friendly Dragon. I'm afraid that my characters would just beat the scales off of him. :D

But hey, if you think he's up to the challenge. Bring it!

As soon as anyone points out a comic in any way similar to mine in theme or execution, I'll gladly go and toilet paper their house. I'm serious. I'll fly across the Atlantic if I have to.

In the mafia games (and all others), I'd have to say Hark is my competition for acting full throtle zany (even though Hark is undeniably winning). His first words in regards to me was labeling me a diet or lite version of himself. Doesn't help that our names are similar, and people have mistakenly addressed me as Hark...

I WILL carve a path out of the shadow of your existance!

God needed the Devil, the Beatles needed the Rolling Stones, Hakoshen needs me.
I'm the enemy he requires to define him.
Soon or later, he'll bring me back to life again for another epic encounter of shouting about power levels and grimacing.

Heh, Your trademark glowy style back in the days of Billarin wars really had me playing catch up. And your high speed, free form artsy style on dreams in Synergy leave me in the dust in most ways.

My rival?

Kilre, for two reasons:

One, he's as prolific a writer as me, but he draws, too, while I can do little more than doodle.
Two, I know him...in real life...and I know where he lives...*grins maniacally*

I don't think I have one, surprisingly! My friends who do webcomics tend to have a totally different way of going about it. The only people I can recall as ever being my "rival"...

One of my ex-boyfriends used to attempt comics as well, so we were kinda rivals when our styles were similar. He's a furry artist now and tells me he'll get to making a webcomic when he can be bothered (which, with his attention span, won't be anytime soon)... We're way too different now to even compare to each other.

So unless there's a person who has a similar comic style, I would say I currently lack a rival. Even if there was, I'm not really as competitive as I once was... I'd rather be their friend so I could talk to them about it!

This is a cool thread.

I wouldn't say I have rivals - But maaaaaaaaaaan do I have haters. Just a few of haters out there that carry that passive-aggressive/elitest chip on their shoulder about webcomics and how YOURS is suppose to be executed.

I'd say to that, just as many have said previously, I just do me and step up my game. That makes ME my OWN rival.
