no rivals for me, not in the same way as Nick Guy, but because I honestly don't compete with any one. I am not extremely or at all competitive. When I was in high school there was a kid who was heads and shoulders above everyone when it came to drawing, or at least in my eyes he was. I would say he was a rival, but a friendly one. We were good friends.

You know what? After I'm done writing and drawing this thing, I'll be a rival to all vampire related webcomics by trying to put a new spin on the whole thing (not revealing any plot yet but the idea is to take the existing "vampire lore" elements and assemble them in a hopefully fresh way).

well, I was being serious in my first post in this thread, I really dont view any other comics as my rival, because im so full of myself. I dont see any comics and think "man, thats better than me" or "thats what i want my comic to be". Id have to look up the most popular comics in my genre, but there isnt a martial arts genre, and i think I labeled KFK as action adventure. There are other comics that i like alot on here, and there are artists that i envy, but none doing the same thing as me =\
I don't see many other martial arts webcomics. But speaking about comics in general, wouldn't Dragonball and Dragonball Z be labled as a martial arts comic?
i think its pretty safe to say that dragonball z would be my comic bitch

Just skip the whole rival thing, go to exchanging links and learning by sharing.
Face it I know I'm better than everyone else but what do I gain by posing when I should be posing my figures and working on the comic? How can you honestly compare to my genius and the shear effort I put into my works of art. That's why I won't be a rival to anyone else. I already lost because I'm so superior that no one has the intellectual capacity to realize how awesome I am.
That's why I don't want rivals. I'm so full of shit that my eyes are brown. lol! Now we could have a rivalry over how full of shit we are... but that's more of a friendly discussion over some beers.

Get Up and Go is my comic WIRES 2 's rival totally.
Even though me and Tamerlane are good friends, our comics are definatly rivals in trying to get all those yaoi fangirls man.
Deadpill was my comic LIFE/DEATH's rival for a long time too.
Every popular OEL manga artist besides me is secretly my rival.
The secret is I'm losing to all of them.

Hmmmm....As the only author/artist of a humor comic about a dragon, I'm kinda lonely in the rival department.

Wow...a rivalry has been declared against all vampire comics here, AND all zombie comics? Well, that's two rivals for me so far...
The third, though I don't know if this counts...is my co-artist/writer on Lurei. We argue about who's idea for the next line is funnier. It's like we have two slightly different scripts, and are trying to bring them together...yet both think that our own is completely perfect without any changes.
