Which one looks better?

So I started to mess around with Paint Tool SAI yesterday and it was the first time I was quite happy with results of digital inking.

Did couple of images and then decided to re-ink one of the panels from Din Krakatau for a comparison.

So the question is... which version looks better to you? The above or the bottom one?

(bottom being the fairly quickly reinked version).

Since I'm going to be redrawing a big chunk of Din Krakatau for the b&w version and most likely will have to rescan or heavily edit every page anyway, I thought perhaps inking it again could work too. But I haven't made up my mind yet

Also, one of the practice images as pencils and inks...

The bottom one, definitely.

"You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process," he added. "That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle."

ok, thanks. :D So far only one person said that they prefer the top one and it's about 10 to 1 so far.

But if anyone else wants to throw their opinion on it too, I'm willing to listen to more voices. :)

might I add a suggestion? make the blood drops sizes vary more because right now it kind of looks like its snowing in a small area of your drawing rather than blood is flying by.

ok yeah... I'll be figuring out blood soon (doesn't look as good as it should) and probably reinking this image again anyway once I get to that page (going to start from the beginning), so thanks for the suggestion.

And since this thread is all about me and SAI, here's a latest drawing (and my first commission ever, haha).

Haha, more likely they'd punch each other faces (he's the villain here btw).

bottom one definitely.

And (this is a nitpick) as someone with a tablet who knows what tablet-drawn inking looks like... the linework looks a little too tablet-y. Like the edges aren't hard enough, or look too much like photoshop brushes (esp. in the face). Maybe harden the edges using the eraser tool (set on the non-fluffy looking setting.) Do you know what I mean?

Hmm, can't say I'm sure what you mean to be honest. *scratches head*

I can only say that the more I "ink", the more I like this "wet" look it gives me (as seen in the other thread I posted recently).
