what old games would you like to see remade for the wii or ds?

i would like to see chrono trigger for the ds, final fantasy 7 for the wii, sonic adventure for the wii and i would also love to see a house of the dead anthology for the wii, with 1 through to 4, and maybe even a brand new house of the dead 5 on it! of course, all the house of the dead games wouldhave lightgun style shooting action.

Why only those systems?

I would like to see Resident Evil 2 and 3 on the DS but with a better multiplayer, because RE1 on the DS had a poor multiplayer for several reasons. But the fact it had a multiplayer was a start.

Really, I'd like to play any decent on-rails shooters on the Wii. While I thought the system would be perfect for firstperson shooters, so far they've been a bit off the mark. Trouble with turning, mostly. I'd rather have foot movement logged to the directional pad on the remote and head movement set to the nunchuck (or vice versa) with the remote just used for aiming.

Anyway, there's a bevy of games I'd like to see ported to the DS simply to have them in portable format, and topping the list is (surprise) Smash Bros. I'm actually quite surprised they haven't done it yet; it seems like it'd be a very simple process just to port the N64 version for now, maybe create a new version exclusively for the DS later. Hopefully they'll get on that once Smash Bros. Brawl is released.

Metal Gear for the Wii... It would be perfect!

I'm sure the choice of Wii/DS was based on the new control schemes. Remakes for other systems would be just like the old ones but with better graphics.

FULLY AGREED. Give me House of the Dead, Time Crisis, Virtua Cop, ANYTHING. Those were my favorite genre of game, and here we've got a console where you don't even need to buy a gun.

Marvel VS Capcom 2 for the Wii, definitely. And Okami. I may have the original, but I'd still want it. And chances are the original Smash Bros will be a Virtual Console game any time now.

And maybe remakes of the PS1 Spider-Man games. I loved those! Oh, and remakes of the first three Spyro games! Back when they were good!

Amazing Island for the DS. Except not the old Amazing Island, a totally new Amazing Island where you can use your monsters to do something interesting like, oh, I don't know, fight? Minigames were teh gheyness.

I think if they just re-made every old Nintendo game for the Wii, it'd be great. I'd love to play Ocarina of Time with the engine that Twilight Princess runs on. The stuff with the wolf felt tacked on and so forced, and the game itself was waaaaaaaaaaaay too easy.

I'd like to play a 3D remake of Super Mario Bros 3. Think about the possibilities there. No bullshit goals or collecting shit like these 3D platformers tack on to force you to hunt down useless shit that has nothing to do with anything so you have to play in the same area over and over. No, I want straightforward platforming action. Just the same exact game as Mario Bros 3, the same whistle trick, the same awesome final world, the same exact game. Just done in full 3D glory. That alone would make me buy a Wii of my own.

I'd also like a more fleshed out version of Wii Sports. If they could figure out how to do Basketball and add some other basic sports to it. Also I'd beef up the Mii's things, they should figure out if they want them to have legs or no legs. I love the idea of 3 inning baseball, it takes away all the boringnses of it and gives it to you in a chunk where you can enjoy playing it.

I also.. agree with inkomonkey.. we should get a nice on rails shooter. Hopefully the new Resident Evil will do that.

YES!!! SUPER SMASH BROS!!! i would absolutely LOVE to see that on ds!! maybe some new characters? shadow and sonic!! garet and isaac from golden sun! i would have to say, it would be better made if they used sprites. i prefer awesome 2D over shitty 3D any day.

my point still stands. an on rails shooter would be awesome. there is one coming out called Ghost Squad which is an on rails shooter.

I also think a lot of PC games would be great on the DS, since the touch screen replicates, to a degree, the sensaation of using a mouse. Point and click adventures like Sam & Max and such, or strategy games like Warcraft. The Phoenix Wright games are a lot like a good point and clicker.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan, and have both consoles, so I would like to see how Phoenix Wright would translate to the Wii. XD Perhaps with the advanced console, you could search for clues around 3D areas, and you could point with the Wii remote when the time comes for yelling 'OBJECTION!' XD Plus, there's a lot more space on the Wii disk for expansive Tournabout episodes.

The only thing that would irk me maybe...is if they had to replace the character sprites with 3D models. I'd have to get used to that. XD;

Also, I'm probably pushing a little bit too far here...but a DECENT Sonic game? I may be slightly biased here as I haven't played Sonic and the...Whatever Rings yet, but I heard that the multiplayer mode was rather crap? Sonic has developed such a reputation of creating nothing but terrible games since its release to next gen consoles, and I would love to see it turn for the better. I still love the Sonic Adventure games and believe that that was Sonic as its very best, and it really hurt to see it crash down like it has with Sonic Heroes and that racing game.

Now, Sonic Rush 2 is something that I'm looking forward to. I LOVED the DS game, and it gave me back some hope for the series. Let's hope it keeps going that way?

I'd like to see some RPGs for the Wii, too. Something like the Nippon Ichi games like Disgaea, maybe? I'm sure that would be interesting. I'd like to see if/how they would integrate the Wii remote controls into the gameplay.

Ah, I was thinking about that. A boss stage in WarioWare Smooth Moves is a Starfox level, and you control it by holding the Wii remote on the side and pressing the A button to fire. So, it'll most likely be something like that?

*A Megaman anthology port. regular and X. none of this battle network, ZX stuff. I knew that one was coming out for the GBA, but it got canned in development. (i guess.)

*Super Metroid for the DS with new content, a-la Zero Mission. (i know about the virtual console remake. i just want it portable.)

*A Dragon Warrior/Quest Anthology for the DS. (like, the early NES 1-3.)

umm id have to say any arcade game where you stand in one place and shoot at the screen (like house of the dead) would be good for the wii. also i would like to see a few star wars games for it. for the ds thats kind of hard but i think they should remake most/all of the popular games from the snes. (donky kong, super mario, super metroid ect.)

I would also like to see the the first few Kirby games on DS and Kirby64 on the Wii. But they would have to change it something like KirbyWii.

Earthbound for DS, maybe come in a package with Mother 3 (Translated) sadly that won't happen anytime soon.

As for Wii, RE4 is comeing out and that looks good. But I'm thinking they should have Time Crisis for the Wii, that game ruled. Maybe LoZ:OoT and LoZ:MM too. And Sonic Adventure 2 without the crappy control sceam.

Wii is good. I'd say we need a 3d version of Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. They'd just be darned fun. :D

You know what could actually be good? Making a new 2D Metroid in the same style as New Super Mario Bros. They could have all the characters be 3D but leave the gameplay in that fun 2D perspective. It would make a great DS game.
