A couple of months back I came across this nice counter for my comic. www.sitemeter.com

This adds a little counter box at the bottom of your page (a la project wonderful insertion) but it does more than merely calculate page views.

This sucker tells you all sorts of information about who your readers are. No, not scary personal information but some nice statistical stuff.

It gives you the raw visits vs. pageviews. It tells you how many views a certain IP address made. Tells you what country / city the reader is accessing from, what kind of OS they use and what Browser they have. They also have a really nifty Map of your last 100 visits, so you can see a world map with little dots in all the cities where your readers are. This is some great demographic information to possible address/adjust for any issues that come up with your site. :D

About 50-60% of my readers are in the US. 10-15% in the UK, 10% in other parts of Europe, and 5% in Australia. Though I've had views in South Africa, Malaysia, and Brazil too!

This is very cool stuff, I'm kind of addicted, and I'm curious what kind of stats everyone else is getting too. :)

Edit: (I am in no way affiliated with this site, I just like it a lot)

And here's the from site meter during the same time period:

According to PW, for the past week:

772: United States
191: Canada
81: United Kingdom
73: Germany
72: New Zealand
9: Denmark
8: Satellite Provider
6: Israel
6: Philippines
4: France

I'm actually rather surprised at how many hits from outside the U.S. my strip got. For some reason, despite knowing the web is in fact world-wide, it didn't occur to me that anyone in the rest of the world would actually be interested.

The big hitters seem to be the US , UK, Canada and the Skandinavian countries.

This makes me wonder if this is due to a larger number of people with web connections, or higher percentage of comic readers.... Possibly also mainly a language thing. I know a lot of the Scandinavian countries teach English at a very young age, so maybe that is the limiting factor....

So, apparently a lot of Germans like Nadya. That's cool with me. I always thought there was something very European about the comic, anyway. :)

Nadya- a tale about what happens to SOME of us when we die.

Currently: Nadya is awake and asking more relevant questions.

This...is...awesome! I think I've seen the SM banner on a few sites in the past, but I've just never thought to go check it out myself. Makes me feel like a spy. :3 I only put it on my site a couple of hours ago, so I'll have to wait a couple of days or so before I can post some accurate stats.

I cant remember the numbers right now but the top one is the USA (no surprise there), but more interestingly the second place is Germany.
Oddly, the UK (where I am) came in third.
I dont know if it has changed since last I checked but there is deffinitely a particular appeal that Harkovast seems to have for German speakers. Maybe they have a tv show over there about medieval animals fighting wars with each other?

I use Google Analytics, it's really informative. Anyways these are the places I'm getting visits from:

USA, Canada, Germany, Belgium, UK, Australia, Spain, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Philippines, Egypt, Greece.

Those are where a decent amount of people seem to be reading from. There's a whole lot more but those are 1 or 2 visits here and there.
