Where does everyone do their drawing?

If I didn't have a full time boring job I probably would never draw. I've never so much as drawn a line at home. I was just wondering if i'm weird, which I can probably answer myself or where everyone else does the majority of their comics.

I genrerally thumbnail and doodle character expressions and positions in class, and do the real pages in my room where it's quiet. I don't like being bothered when I'm doing pages, because it throws off my concentration. I do my practice work and exercises to improve my skills wherever, just because observing other people and drawing them is fun.

...in class. er. >>

that's usually only sketching, though. If inking or coloring is involved, I do that at home in my room.

Computer desk. I just slide in the keyboard and get to scribblin'. I'll draw for fun on the floor though when I'm lying down.

Though I've submitted NOTHING here, I do draw comics + character designs at home a lot. I like to sit down on my couch and watch cartoons, look at shapes and then draw. I live a pretty busy life (especially now when my nieces are teenagers - 14, 15 and 16 - and want to stay out all night partying) so it's really the only time I can draw

My oldest niece just turned 15, and I don't want her partying all night with guys she doesn't know....

As for where I draw? I tend to bring my drawing board onto my bed and draw there. :)

either in my notebook for school during classes, in my sketchbook in my room, or on the computer using my tablet. I just draw whenever inspiration comes to me, which is...constantly, really. I'm a doodlemaniac.

I've been waiting to see your work...

On something like this:

Those are fantastic clipboards! Perfect for drawing on! :)
I used to do a lot of my drawing lying on he couch in front of the TV using one of those... Well an old Masonite one with a really old steel clip that'd leave a faint rust line on the paper so I'd have to fold up some and put it under to protect the sheet. Anyway, that style of clip is PERFECT!

Now I neither draw much with pencils anymore, or watch TV at all.

I'm with Ozone on this...I don't draw any more as the computer does what I want more perfectly than anything I did by hand. I also don't watch TV either--to busy doing my comic pages or reading.

I do most of my drawing/sketching/inking here at my computer desk, where it's easy for me to find references via the Internet. A lot of times I'll work on my drawings at school and that's also usually when I ink them, for I am a lazy person who dislikes doing work at school.

I draw mini doodle comics when I'm in school.

I draw serious comics when I'm in my room. I like to draw on my bed. It's comfy that way.

This year, school's full of BS!!!

I draw on my bed. First, I make a pile of pillows and blankets against the wall so that it forms a nice slope, then lay my back on that, put a large but fairly thin hardcover book on my lap and a stack of pages on top of that (I always drew inside of thick notebooks so I don't like to draw on hard surfaces). if I manage to set it all up so that there are no lumps behind my back, I can draw for couple of hours in that position without any problems. I'd like a proper drawing table though, maybe someday?

hahaha....

seriously, i think i said this before, but when im "really" drawing, its standing up with a huge piece of art board thumbtacked to the wall. when i sketch, or doing thumbnails or whatever, its sometimes on a desk or on a bed, though i cant draw that way anymore, I find that I HAVE to be either sitting or standing up.

Generally, I just sit in my dorm with my mactop on one side and my art desk on the other. That's all I do. All day. I use to draw in class but...I failed out because of that! Myahahahaaa.

I just cleaned off the neglected desk in the corner of my room...

so I guess I'll be drawing on there from now on. :D; provided that my cat doesn't steal the chair...
