Anybody remember that guy Custard Trout?
What's it all about when you sort it out, Ozone?
Are we meant to take more than we give
Or are we meant to be kind?

Thanks Ozone...My WIFE'S name is Carla. I was talking to her when I posted this.

Which is to say, calling my wife "creepy" isn't exactly a nice thing to do.

Power Up Comics was reviewed by John Solomon's "Your Webcomic is Bad and You Should Feel Bad" And tons of people came over to read how bad it was, thats why it had that spike back in the day.

Yeah, what happened to trout?

Now there's a good one - Custard Trout used to greet everyone who said HELLO in the "HELLO" section of the forums.

Jesus i remember that.

A troll review blog trolling it's own readers by ironicly reviewing an ironicly bad webcomic designed to troll it's own readers.

Possibly the most meta thing on the internet.

There was a comic here called Roasty Toasty that left awhile back right after I found it.

It was a funny little comic, but now it's gone.

It didn't go, it just moved.

I miss, Darkness Falls...Oblivion...Custard Trout and yes...even Marine and 'Penis' The sad thing is, DD is pretty anonymous. Despite how much you like a comic and it's creator...no one seems to know how to get in touch with these people who 'drop out' Sad. If I ever go, and dissappear--feel free to contact me. Let me know I'm not totally forgotten. Wish I could do the same to those I listed above!

I used to enjoy the comic Robot Chuck . Then the guy went on vacation and never came back. Even his liveblog stopped updating at the same time. Sometimes I worry that these people who stop updating actually got into accidents or something else bad happened.

See Hawk, you're right there with me.

That's exactly why I started this thread. I know MY LIFE takes over often and I stop checking into DD. Be it work, family, or whatever.

Yet I know, there are other people here who have used doing a comic because it keeps them off the streets, or kick a bad habit, or maybe to pass the time because they're in the military abroad...maybe they even have a terminal illness or they have a more static condition (lupus, depression) - Or maybe, they WERE in a serious car accident and are incapacitated.

We just never know the human side of people behind the avatars and page updates. I just hope whatever the case - they're doing well.

Thanks to those who responded to some of the people who are missing - maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to drop some of them a line to see if they're doing okay.

Here's a bit of interesting coincedence I discovered while trying to track down Midnightstories who did Oblivion.

I Googled midnightstories and oblivion, and what pops up (besides what I expected) but a reference to the short story 'oblivion' in a collection of stories called 'midnight stories' by a fairly famous american writer by the name of DAVID Foster Wallace (David being the heroe's name in Oblivion) who committed suicide last year September after suffering many month of depression. The Comic 'Oblivion' stopped in February of last year. Hmmmmm odd number of strange relators there huh?
