The original Megaman games and recently I've fallen in love with the Street Fighter series. Both classic Capcom franchises. Megaman has great gameplay and great music, and Street Fighter has a deep and layered combat system that rarely gets old.
Also, The first two Star Fox games are among my favorite games I've ever played.

Hmm, I guess it's gotta be the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series. Close second would be Heroes of Might & Magic series, even though I only played 2 out of its 5 games and I don't plan to ever play the other 3.

Super Smash Bros. is my favourite series. Great gameplay, awesome music, and the fact that's one of the best crossovers in all of fiction!

Just something fun about being able to walk upside down in iron boots.
I think that was my favourite part of Twilight Princess.

Downpour_guyYou only got the tri-force in one game! D: The rest, you just kinda, already had it...
-Get the tr-force.
I'd probably say Zelda as well as my favourite series...I don't care about the slightly similar formula. :(
Mario and Kirby following close behind.
Animal Crossing as well, but I get bored of that after a month or so of playing, so it's not that great...
THIS NEW SITE SUCKS I'M LEAVING FOREVER I PROMISE, GUYS.

Hm..tough choice to pick a fave!
I really enjoy the Mario series since those games have been a part of life since I was in kindergarten, and I really love platformers...and I could say Final Fantasy or Dragon quest, but i only really like SPECIFIC games from each of those series (ff6, ff3DS, dragon quest monsters, rocket slime), so I couldn't really label those as favorite series's.
But if I had to pick, I'd say either Mario, Pokemon, or Mr Driller.
Though currently, Mr. Driller is the series I'm MOST into, even if most never heard of it. I've played all of the games from it unlike my other fave series's, and am probably one of the biggest fans.
I really love that series because of the adorable characters (JUST LOOK AT THEM ), fun and addictive gameplay, and the cute stories. Mostly for the characters though, because for being adorable little colorful characters, they have some pretty wacky and complicated stories and personalities behind them, that take a lot of digging (lol) to find out. And the cute XD I really, really am a sucker for cute and rainbow colors.

This is a crazy hard decision to make. Of course I'll always love Mario, but there were a few series whose original/good runs were short-lived (Spyro, Crash, oldschool yo) or who are just short/standalone anyway (Mother, No More Heroes).
It's like choosing a favorite artist. I just can't.

Psychonauts.
Absolutely. i actually just finished playing it again and its one of very few games that I always go back to play. Its definitely my favorite stand alone game (I would love a sequel but I don't think its gonna happen). My favorite series...Metal Gear Solid.

Ratchet and Clank
reasons:
a) It is fun like any shooter game, but not serious like most of them.
b) The game matures with it's audience, the first game was a little kiddy, but then each game gets a new layer to it.
c) As imature as it is, it always make me laugh.
d) Online play, at least for 3 and deadlocked, I was kind of disapointed with the lack of online play in the new one, ecspecially since my PS2 couldn't be hooked up online and I was really looking forward to kicking butt on the new one.
e) Every level is fun and inovative.
f) The weopons are awesome.
g) The bonus stuff, it's awesome being able to find the insomniac museum and have the creators talk about making the game. (I still need to unlock this on the new one)

I love Psychonauts, although like Okami I haven't finished it yet. Maybe because it's so inventive in the worlds, but I think for me it's the odd moments when you go through someones memories and you find something quite touching.
Anyway, I have lots of favourite games and series! I can never choose! Altough, valiantly, I'll try.
Okami:It's just so beautiful, it made me research Ukiyo-e and sumi-e art work.
Silent Hill: There's always something new to disturb in these games, and the monsters stay in my memory much longer than Resident Evil.
Legacy of Kain: I've played all bar Blood Omen, and I've completed the others two or three times, despite there being nothing to unlock. I just love the depth of the story line and the labyrinthian plot.
Super Metroid: Big, ugly bosses, loads to collect and atmospheric music. I prefer the old metroids in their 2d glory (which is why the newer Castlevania are some of my favourites too).

Timesplitters is the greatest series ever, and I hope 4 somehow makes it out.
I love Timesplitters.
Yet, not my favorite.
Also love No More Heroes, God of War, and Metal Gear Solid.
All of those, also not my favorite.
Jet Set Radio Future is my favorite game, out of the two (actually three) Jet Set Radio games. I like futuristic things, and well, this game just plain kicks ass. The style, the characters, the story, the music. Everything. I love everything about this game. If I could change one thing, it would be that there would be more of this series.
There needs to be.
Because I seriously LOVE Jet Set Radio.
;_;
Please make more.
And please, don't make it suck, SEGA.
We know you try hard at making Sonic games.
But don't turn this into "Super Ultra Mega Sword/Gun Faggot Skater in Outer Space 3"
Just make another Jet Set Radio game I can fall in love with.
- Love, Ryu.

Gitaroo man. Not quite a series, but I loved that game more than I can say about any other. Favorite series? Well, all the ones that were my favorite have let me down in later installments, even if I enjoyed the game.
I'd have to say the Total War games, or the Sims. They get better with each successive release.

God needed the Devil, the Beatles needed the Rolling Stones, Hakoshen needs me.
I'm the enemy he requires to define him.
Soon or later, he'll bring me back to life again for another epic encounter of shouting about power levels and grimacing.

The Grandia series of RPGs. I like how the stories go in that game. Close seconds would be Phantasy Star and Star Ocean. Then there's Street Fighter...
...but that's because I spent a lot of quarters on the original trying to get a fight with Akuma (All rounds PERFECT, then 10 rounds with BISON without getting hit) only to find out it was an April Fools joke by EGM...
