You know, when you feel your eye begin to twitch and you shift uncomfortably in your chair as the person asks for what they want and you don't think you can turn them down because they'll probably say something bad and you really need the practice but can barely bring yourself to move your pencil, etc.

What is the weirdest thing someone has asked you to draw?

Ugh. That art's from, like two years ago. Man, it's terrible compared to what I do today...

The request: Draw a guy with green hair in an extra-frilly pink dress holding a lollypop with bunny ears and a bunny tail.

This person was serious, it wasn't a joke. It was her Mew Mew fan character.

So, anyone else got any oddities?

I was asked to draw marilyn manson once. I did it. Though I wasn't too happy with it. I think I was 11 or 12 when I drew it. Maybe that's why.

Someone asked me to draw a dragon in a sexy pose... not an anthro... a DRAGON. I didn't do it. Later I got a request from a different person for the same image, only a person in a crappy dragon costume... that one I did do but I've long since given it away.

This was from the secret santa here on DD last year!

This is tecnically not a request I've given, but my mom asked my friend to draw a gorilla attacking Tour de France after they'd misherd something the commentators said. And yes, my friend did draw that. It actually evolved into a 5-page scenario involving one of my characters.

It was all quite normal actually, but I've never heard anything like that request before.

I'm doing digital commissions right now, and since I specialise in animals I've advertised on a couple of furry communities (I decided that drawing half-and-half gives me a chance to practise human anatomy since when I try it's either a bodiless head or headless body, so a fox-headed body can't be too far off to try). First batch of ten went fine, surprised myself, got alot of praise, nothing too weird (mostly several wolves and dogs, a dog-like dragon, one cat girl), but no normal animals or traditional anthropomorphics. Just animal-headed people and a dog-dragon.

So now I start again and offer discounts for my specialities, etc. and the only one I've gotten so far is this: a big wolf with his arms around a smaller fox, with a shock of green on his head, has to be A3 on hardboard.

Okay, is that realistic, cellshaded, anthropomorphic, human-animal freaks or what? And A3 on hardboard for a digital commission. :X Geez. Plus I was strictly avoiding sexual, romantic or more-than-one-character pics by just, well, not giving examples of such and saying 'no fetishes'. Guess I'll have to rewrite the ad again.

But apparently it's his first time asking anyone, so...

What is the weirdest thing someone has asked you to draw?

I guess it's a toss up between an anthropomorphic dildo (it was so damn cuddly too!) for an idea a friend had for a semi-porno comic (this fun loving guy was the host). It went over better than I thought it would. I had lots of buttons, and it looked pretty damn funny.


or ...

An album cover for a sort of band that focused on excessive gore and violence ... the pic I did was of an insane doctor removing a patient's leg like a slab of meat because the group was titled "Slab."

I've not really gotten many weird sketch requests lately though.
