A single favorite? That's tough.

I'm gonna have to go with Shades . It's a winner in all respects. Very professional feeling with fantastic writing (dramatic, action-packed, and witty), art, and attention to details. Like watching a good movie.

I have way to many favs to name just one, but:

story-wise:
fish town, or gunnerkrig, if he ever decides to take fishtown off the web.

art-wise:
lackadaisy

Humor:
Tomoyo42 room(got me into webcomics)

Just plain fun & lesbo:
april and may

If i had to choose only one april and may would win by slim margin for the nostalgia.

Tie between:
Minus. Although his other stuff is pretty good.
Nana's Everyday Life. [manga.clone-army.org] (I SEE SOMEONE ELSE LIKES DANIEL KIM.)

For second place: Sam and Fuzzy. (lousy forum, though)
Blood Martian Flowers . Occasionally updates.

Starts slow and crudely. Amazing by the time the journey is done.

"You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process," he added. "That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle."

That's a tough one...but if I had to choose one in particular, I guess 'Skin Deep' by Kory Bingaman would be at the top.

The problem I have with that one, is the pacing is reeeaaalllly slow. It's not like I don't care for pages of endless dialogue. But I dunno, If the characters are gonna call themselves The Zombie Hunters, I would think they would hunt a few more zombies. Maybe it's just me. I do really enjoy her muted coloring style though. I just wish she would pick up the pace of the story a bit.

It's a Grizzly Bear battling Zombies. Do you need to know more?

Homestuck isn't as good (yet) as Problem Sleuth was.

Problem sleuth was awesome, and the glorious crescendo it reached was dizzying.

However can you honestly say that Homestuck won't be even more atonishing when Pages like this are a regular occurrrance, a mere quarter of the way into it's run.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the following two comic strips. Neither are being written any more but I maintain that they are still head and shoulders above anything contemporary or past.

They are:

Perry Bible Fellowship (PBF)
http://pbfcomics.com/

and

Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson

Um, Achewood , anyone?

Also, seconding PBF and OOTS. But Achewood, man... That is something special.

"Online graphic novel"-wise, Gunnerkrig court I adore. Also, do check out Kukuburi .

Uh, there are many others...

Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson

Best WEBcomic. Not print comic.

And Calvin sucks anyways. But that's neither here nor there.

..And draw.

I'll definitely second Nedroid. It's just so ridiculous and funny. I wish he would update more instead of working on that silly Dr McNinja.

I think that by far the best webcomic I have ever read is The Book of Biff by Chris Hallbeck. It is extremely funny!
