lol! Makes as much sense to me as Jane Austin as a Miss Marple type sleuth. Though it is a well done series according to my sister-in-law detective fiction fan.

No...? I followed a link about motorbikes on Amazon, got to a pair of cool looking bike goggles and that book was on the list of "items" also bought by other customers who bought the goggles.

I don't think the people buying the bike goggles were much interested motorbikes somehow.

I've been seeing that book in the bookstores lately and have been quelling the urge to buy it. The cover draws me in.

hmm. now that I think of it, the only zombie thing that did poorly in it was Marvel zombies. now that was overdone, and just went off into this weird tangent. but that's the exception here, ya hear?

I disagree whole-heartedly: Marvel Zombies is some of my favorite zombie material from recent memory.

it started off rather well, and were actually rather frightening to think of-- Zombies with superpowers? nobody would be able to stand up to that!

But as it went on it just got more weirder...espeically the ending.

the zombies eating that galactic dude and then somehow gaining the ability to become space zombies, and travel to other planets. seriously, it just seemed to trail off there and it was one of those "the reader makes up what happens next here" endings.

I just don't like it when stories like that has no real ending.

In that case, you just read the first issue.

Might as well inform you that the story actually continues.
Basically the space zombies (heh... funny concept) fly around the entire galaxy, eating everything in it. No life is spared anywhere. After that they decide to head back to earth to try and repair that dimension travel device so that they could jump to another universe and start all over. Anyways the few humans that survived by staying on that asteroids have established a semi primitive colony on earth where they're trying to repopulate earth. That's not going so well seeing as they're faced with several problems like "not enough survivors to prevent inbreeding" and "one of their kids is a douche who's trying to take over the leadership of the colony". Then there's a big showdown between the zombies and the survivors which gets resolved in a really weird way.

The story continues after that in issue 3 but I don't know how that goes.

There was also a prequel that explains how the heroes tried to stop the zombie infection from spreading among themselves and how that ultimately failed.
They also did a story where the black panther and storm get transported to the Skrull planet as it's being eaten by those space zombies (please don't ask me how and why. sigh... it was a magic frog statue.).
Then there's a different comic story where Ash from Army of darkness ends up on the Zombie Marvel world just before the superheroes changed. It was called Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness. It was actually a bit funny.

The Ash versus the Marvel Zombies was great. But then anything with Ash in it is great. Hail to the king baby...

I gotta say that I think people are making too much of this. A remake with zombies does nothing to the original. It's not like they're going back in time, shooting the author in the head, and rewriting the book with Master Chief fighting zombie werewolf cyborg vampires IN SPACE ENGLAND.

The thing is that stupid net fan-fiction crap is turning into REAL published fiction...

I don't care about original stuff from the net getting sold in bookshops. But Fan-fiction... Crappy stuff like this... no.

there's actually an PUBLISHED crappy harry potter fan fiction that's so brain-meltingly horrible.

seriously, I read a tiny amount of it online and I felt like I dropped IQ points.

basically it starts out with some Mary sue and some harry potter character having sex. and there's such classic lines such as "he put his thing into my thing... you know that thing down there." and then dumbledore busts in yelling "what are ya doing, Muthafockers?!"

Read the book. It was a lot better. I saw an interview with Bernard Cornwell on the history channel on that episode and he just laughed his way through it.

I saw this a while back when I was browsing. I was thinking of picking it up since I liked the original Pride and Prejudice and I was desperate for some decent reading material, but it was placed right next to the Twilight section (Yes, they dedicated a whole section to Twilight. Damn you, Borders, damn you!) so I was deterred from giving it a chance. Plus, I think if my mom saw me reading something like that, she would give me the ultimate "Just... why?" look.
