What should be turned into a movie?

What books/TV shows do you think should be turned into movies? I like the concept of them turning Wicked into a movie; Wicked was a great book about the life of the Wicked Witch of the West. It was later turned into a musical.

Though not a movie, I always thought Kanye West`s album Late Registration maybe even Pearl Jam`s Ten would make a good movie opera. The Metal Gear Solid series would make a perfect movie. As for tv shows, LAX, that old NBC drama (the one more about sex than planes. That one) would make a perfect movie, if better written. As My Name Earl is screaming a comedy. But, you know. No. One hour versus a lot of 22 minute episodes, you tell me which is better.

The legacy of Kain
I'd of prefered if you had said something other than the legacy of Kain, just for the sheer joy of the irony.

I'd love to see Lloyd Alexander's Pyridian Chronicles as a series of movies. Of course my favorite of the books, "Taran Wanderer" would be a strange movie since the main character spends the whole book learning how to be a blacksmith, a weaver, a potter, ect.
I'd also like to see Susan Coopers "Dark is Rising" as a series of movies. The books are a mixture of all sorts of mythologies including Celtic and Arthurian.
Hey with the sucess of "Lord of the Rings" and "narnia" it could happen.

A full-lenght Ren & Stimpy movie would be cool!
And they really should make an animated film of Dave Cooper - Crumple

A film version of any of Christopher Moore's novels would be great. He keeps optioning the screenplays, too, but nobody bites. It's a real crying shame.

Good Omens... it should be turned into a movie...
and they were going to do it, but I don't think the funding went to well...
AND TERRY GILLIAM WAS GOING TO DIRECT IT!!!
still... I'm still hoping.

I think they should make a movie about me. "Shane Woodis: The Man Who Would be King!" It would star Ralph Finnes as me, with Chris Tucker providing the voice of my CGI'd, spunky sidekick: "Fleebo the Wonderdog."

With all the remakes and adaptations going on in Hollywood, I'm kind of hungry for brand new stories.

Mr. NeilYes I agree, maybe something like they're going on a quest to sale all their Rubber Nipples (maybe George Liquor told them to do that). An actual story line, but than with some very very weird twists. :-DCrazy DutchmanOnly if John K. did it and only then if he does it without overdoing the sex and cussing, as he did in Adult Party cartoon. I like the leaps and bounds he's made in animation, but Ren & Stimpy was funniest when the most controversial content was the violence and bodily fluid jokes.
A full-lenght Ren & Stimpy movie would be cool!

Spiderman's Clone Saga
Anything by Rob Liefield.
Dragonball Z
I'd kind of like to, in all seriousness, see a Cerubus animated series.

The legacy of Kain as a flamboyant gay musical would be interesting. All that makeup and the campy costumes sort of lend themselves to that treatment... Stuff movies, it should head straight for Broadway! The next big hit!

That's the spirit! The showbiz spirit. :)
I must say I've always been touched by some of the more sentimental lines:
"You wanted my heart
but you thrust so hard and had to fart,
Now I've died for you my love,
my life has flown like a dove.
It's all over after you've come
and I'm so sore in the bum"

"There's no buisness
Like evil buisness,
That's no buisness
I knooooow!
Everything about it is appealing,
when you are stealing,
Somebody's soooooul!"
A cookie if you know where I stole that from.
What? It's an evil musical. Of course you can steal songs.

wait, I thought this was about what should be turned into a movie...
I think Deltora Quest. But the prob is, they'll cut half the story out as they did with LOTR.
THEY LEFT OUT THE HOBBIT WAR!!!!!!!! (the main reason I even wanted to watch LOTR3)
anywho... I would like peter jackson to direct it, emily rodda to write the screenplay, ricky ullman to play leif (He's a bit of a spunk, i think), me to play jasmine (I totally wish) and... well... i dont know.
Apparently the rights have been sold to a japanese animation company. I rekon that'll just ruin the realism. oh well, still wanna see it.
