My friends who went to Japan say that the whole country is stuck trying to be like America in the 80s. Only with awesome gadgets.

I found out something else that bugs me.

Another thing that annoys me is japanese names for comics,every time i see a comic with a name like " tsumaranai soshite hidoi" (obviously a name I made up as an example) I make a note not to ever read it if it is avoidable.

I really hate that too. That pisses me off. Especially when it's a person not from japan who doesn't even know what the title means.

I do feel a bit uneasy with the Japanese names that many of the non Japanese webmanga artists come up with. What's even wierder is the fact that many of the webmangas likes to have Japan as their comic setting. Yet in Japan, there are quite a number of manga artists prefer to come up with non Japan setting, non Japanese names and create non Japanese characters.

I'm probably one of the latter categories of being an Asian living in Asia yet coming up with a comic that feature Western names, Western setting, majority Western characters and Western comic reading format. An unconscious desire to worship Western culture and lifestyle? Probably.

yeah he hasnt changed that, and people have pointed it out ALOT, it has broken into arguments in his comments, he actually posted a page about how he dosen't care what people think and he is going to ignore them.

yeah he hasnt changed that, and people have pointed it out ALOT, it has broken into arguments in his comments, he actually posted a page about how he dosen't care what people think and he is going to ignore them.

I highly doubt he's ignoring them. He wrote a page saying he doesn't want anymore arguing about the page so he is going to mute comments that will start arguements. Which is what currently is happening right now. What you sound like your saying is that he should change everything about his comic because you want him to. It also makes sense to have the comic in that format and the sfx in japanese cause he said he was studying it and he said he is intending to translate it to japanese.

Ohh and to not stray away from topic, another thing I hate about DD is people who think their comic is the best. Then you comment on it and they get mad and ask to see you draw something. Ha Ha. Someone said that to me on my old account. I made a comic and shut them up. It was so fun :-D .

Too many comics by kids.

This includes the billion sprite comics made by 8year olds and the many "myspace" comics where they just post some anime pictures, have music playing etc.

I dislike those webcomics that never update. Does DD have that rule anymore where they delete a comic that's been dead for three months anymore?

I dislike webcomics that only have one page and never update again.

I dislike free hosted webcomics with donation banners all over their site(but it is pretty rare on DD.)

I dislike that I can't see where my comics stand on the DD top lists. I'm not on the top 10 or 25 of course ,but where am I in the top 100s? 500s?

I wish I can check out the top 100 DD comics not just see the top of the top guys all the time.

My gripes are pretty much the same as everyone else's.

Cliched stories.
Cliched characters...
Only 5 "most recently updated" comics on the list...
Interesting title, only to click on it and have it be horrible.
Anime bandwagon... I can deal with a mild anime influence here and there, but out-right copying anime styles is just dumb.
