Ok, so I'm sure we have all had moments when on drunk duck something has upset us, I don't mean comic wise, I mean drunk duck wise, there are things that just make you think "that's so lame"

For me It has to be when I get bumped down the last updated column by sprite comics posting filler, I will never be in any other toplist with any of my comics so it is annoying when some shit who cant be arsed to write a joke and paste some sprites bumps me down or even worse off the list.

It's just wrong that people who at at least some point can be shunted off the list by a sprite of sonic shouting "OMGNOPOOO!!!" on a two tone background seems insane, but for technical reasons nobody can do anything about it.

So what makes you sad or angry on DD?

the fact that there are hundreds of artists on here better than me.
and while it is a good thing that so many skilled people are sharing their creations with us, it makes me feel sad about my drawing ability...
That and, for some reason, there just feels like something is pressuring you to do updates. I know it's silly, but I keep feeling nobody will read my comic anymore unless I update often...

People being better than you drives you to become a better artist yourself though, so that can't possibly be a bad thing, I have zero ability to draw myself, seeing high quality art just makes me want to better my abilites.

That happened to me the other day -.-. I was browsing through comics and it said some cool sounding title. It even had a decent story line! Then I look at the comic and it has sonic saying "OMG I AT E A BARBAQUE SANDWHICH AND GOT MUDDBUT!!!!one!11!!!eleven!". Actual quote tpo. I hate it when that happens.

For me, it's the fact that I can't keep the comic in the new updates list long enough before it is buried. Ah well.

Here's what I hate...

When someone gets a negative review, and their response (or perhaps just the response of their fans) is to demand that they see some of the reviewers art. Apparently some people are under the impression that, unless one can draw, then one is somehow unable to look at something and have an opinion on it.

Maybe instead of a 1 to 5 rating, DD should just change it to: "Don't like it", "Neutral about it", "Like it". Makes it easier. ;)

I mean I go to the list of most recently updated and they are ALL sprite comics and all the people who take days to update get pushed off the list.

DD really needs to come out with a seperate sprite section or something.

Because the Reason nobody is satisfied with how that is being handled is BECAUSE YOU AREN'T ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT you aren't even acknowledging that there is an issue or even considering the points brought up as valid, despite the single longest active thread on this board being about guess what? SPRITE COMICS AND HOW THEY ARE BAD. Perhaps if you made it at least look like you gave a shit people might be at least a little happier about the whole thing.

As for the sprite comic lists, I don't care. I just turned all the lists off except
for DrunkDuck News, The Favs List, and Gigcast updates. Screw that stuff.

The old comics list, the one that featured ALL of the comics that updated that day, along with every comic at DrunkDuck. That list was awesome.

WE HEARD YOU ABOUT THE SPRITE THING. It isn't necessary to make several various threads discussing the SAME TOPIC. It just comes off as whining.

Great that's all I wanted! an Acknowledgement of the problem and at least an indication that you intend to do something about it eventually, being constantly told "don't read them" and not anything else (with the possible exception of comments ammounting to "cram it, we don't care") was getting tiresome. I'm happy now. Also note how this thread isn't about sprite comics it just became about that because so many people are annoyed by them.

the reason there are a few topics about it is probably because of the apparent lack of interest from people who can actually do something about it.

Now all we need to do is have an official topic to disscus what to do about it.

You know what else I don't like? Full page text comics that are about how the comic will be late. Don't trick me with new updates that are a block of text, I'll stab you!

That annoys me too, especially when it's a whole bunch of text that is basicly just a big excuse, what a con.

Another thing that annoys me is japanese names for comics,every time i see a comic with a name like " tsumaranai soshite hidoi" (obviously a name I made up as an example) I make a note not to ever read it if it is avoidable.

Japanese translates to english, english speaking countries should yield comics with english titles.

I really hate that too. That pisses me off. Especially when it's a person not from japan who doesn't even know what the title means.

I doubt if i made a comic called tsumaranai soshite hidoi nobody would notice the name roughly means "boring and terrible". and if most people did bother to look up the title they would have BS names, look at Ryu hime

Now what does that mean? it means princess, Ryu can mean alot of things it can mean Dragon, it is also a school of martial arts, it could be either (it's Dragon though), what sort of wishy-washy name is that? and why not just call it "Dragon Princess"? oh yeah
