I've always wondered how you get to be an admin, moderator, or publisher. How do you?

No really, I'm broke and still at the age where living with your mom is not a weird thing.

Mod and Admin status are basically obtained by proving that you deserve to be one (being helpful, not getting into trouble, etc.), but I think it's been some time since they've done that. Publisher status is much more easily obtained by posting enough comic pages (500 or so, if I remember).

We recruit mods and admins as needed, but generally we don't need any. Basically, a person who is trustworthy, consistent, good with the community, etc. Kind of sad that Oz and I manage on our own now, when a couple years ago it took 4 of us.
Publisher is easier. You need at least 5 comic accounts, with at least 20 pages each. So you could get a publisher account with 100 pages, if you had 5 accounts with exactly 20 in. I recently got my publisher status with my 20th page of Abby Sanders, although I have more than 5 comics, only 4 of those accounts had more than 20 pages in them.
I don't think you get anything special as a publisher though. Just a different colored profile page.

Oh. I was off on the numbers I guess >_>

I don't really wanna go through the trouble of making 5 accounts...that's annoying, who came up with that. (sorry if it was you skoolmunkee)
Another question of irritating n00bness I want to ask is how does the pageview of the site differ? I know that you can delete banners (ozoneocean you... -_-), pages, comics, etc. But not much else. What are the perks? :)
Am I being a pain? I hope not...
I wish I could be that helpful. I try. I need a perfect real life karma too, not just a perfect DD one! :)
:)
Annoyed w/ my 'entering' yet?
:P

Well, it's not user accounts, it's comic accounts. Basically it's at least 5 different comics, all under the same user account. If you click on my avatar you'll see my profile, which has all my comic accounts listed. There's more than 5, and 5 of those have at least 20 pages. So I'm a publisher. Making 5 user accounts (with 5 usernames) isn't going to do any good for anything. :]
I um... don't understand your other question. Differ from what? Do you mean does the site look any different for mods and admins? Not really.
The perks are:
1. More work
2. People taking you too seriously because you have a label
3. not being able to tell someone their comic is crap
4. More work

Oh...that sucks...
Not much of a difference. Aw.
Oh I interpreted that wrong. I can do that easily! I'll just go and pull up my old comics I deleted and there we go. Publisher. :)
