Ahhh I just had to reply to this sicne I saw my youtube video posted here :D I really love this series, I found it because I was looking up Huang Yiqing (VA of Yue-er)'s voice works as she did some of my fav roles like Huang Rong from legend of the condor heroes, and i discovered this. It's a beautiful series, I love how they make things so pretty - esp the flute playing, the moon, the lighting.
Also, the story is so addicting and I loved it so much that I am subbing this series @ http://www.ancientchinese.net/series/qinsmoon/ [ancientchinese.net]
Trailer I made for season 3
I definitely think they keep improving each season, so far the most spectacular one is the 4th, the trailer makes me wish the series was out right now so I could watch it. Also, its so sad that animations from china (or wuxia series in general - Qin's moon is wuxia themed) is unknown to almost everyone.

Now they are starting to notch one step up on the quality by introducing expressions in season 4.
LMAO.
Sniff, that's funny.
Especially if you think of it in terms of those "In Soviet Russia" joke lines.

Too many cartoons of too many types to have one all-time favourite but, of the current batch, I'd have to say my favourite is the 3D Star Wars: The Clone Wars. (3D animations count as cartoons, right? You did say "of any type"!)
When the pilot "movie" was released, it was widely condemned as a another cheap attempt by Lucas to milk his ageing franchise but I think it very quickly established itself as something special. Most of the characters borrowed from Episodes 1-3 are just as annoying (Jar-Jar) or just as wooden (Obi-Wan, Padme) as they were in the prequel movies but it actually manages to make Anakin seem heroic (no mean achievement!) and the new recurring characters (Anakin's padawan Ahsoka, the pirate chief Hondo, the mercenary Cad Bane, Dooku's assistant Ventress etc) really breathe fresh life into the series.
The fact that it's not scared to spin a story-line out over two or even three episodes means that characters and plots have a chance to develop without having to be rushed in half-an-hour.

A WW2 fighter pilot, a First Century warrior queen and a prehistoric shaman. Oh, and their tailor. These are not your common-or-garden heroes! [..]

POPEYE the Sailor.
You can keep Superman and all the others, Popeye was the first comic/cartoon muscleman.
I love Popeye, especially "Popeye meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves".
They actually did an episode of Popeye where Popeye drafts Bluto to fight the Japanese. Talk about a mean way to dispose of your nemesis.
I also enjoy King of the Hill, I'll tell you what.
