pretty simple. what are you aiming to do? are you hoping to get a million readers? get featured? have the #1 overall comic? where is the point where you can say, "this is where i want to be on drunkduck"?

for me, I want to be like frank miller...get to a point where i can make the most goofiest total shit stories and update twice a year and everyone still says im the greatest ever.

My long term plan?

To finally start AND finish my comic, Ryu's Krew.
I have a known 'background' of starting and quitting my comic.
I believe it has happened about 6 or so times now.

That's not it either.
I want to have my comic please my readers.
I want to improve my artwork.
I want to get my story out there.
I want to have my own 'style'

At first. I honestly JUST wanted to draw Ryu's Krew.
Nothing else.

But I realized, that would be stupid.
The comic would never ever end.
And I won't have that.
It will end eventually, I'm just not sure when.
I think soon I'll get into anatomy, and start drawing humans as well.
That way I'm not so limited when I get done with Ryu's Krew.

I want to make a bunch of friends and hopefully get Six Degrees off the ground.
I wouldn't mind having a small fanbase.
But what I really want is to get to the point where I can sell SD merch.
You know a comic is great when people will buy stuff with your logo on it.

I've already done the first two on that list(well not unique readers but pageviews) and made it to number 3, all of which i was very very proud of and thankful for. I guess my plan now is to finnally leave DD for my own site, Turned out harder then I thought @_@

:(

My plan is just to draw up one of my own stories: I've only ever done stuff others have written. If people like it, that's great - if not, I finally did what I always wanted to do.
Er........boo!

I just kind of started out to make sure I drew something every day. As time went on I started aiming for a feature and eventually got it after being forgotten by Oz for a couple months. Which I will never stop giving him crap about. :p

Now, my main goal is to get back to it. I was pretty content hanging around the #40 spot. That was way higher than I ever thought I'd go.

Don't worry man. I'm constantly working on it.
If it's not physically, it's mentally.

I'm in the process of drawing page 2 right now.
Maybe 3 pages tonight. Don't know.
But I should have the first page up next week :)

Longterm plan:

- Learn to draw even faster, so that I can keep the average of daily 5 pages (not necessarily update 5 times a day that is, jsut produce new pages this fast and have couple of comics run at the same time)... Also improve my art and storytelling abilities...

- Burn through the large buffer of the halfwritten ideas (about 80 at this point and perhaps even up to 100 considering that I have stacks upon stacks of various notes sitting all over the room that still need looking through)...

- Get to the point where I can sustain myself financially from the sales of the previously finished books (so I can work on new ones easily)...

- after achieving all three, focus on my huge "epic fantasy" project and hopefully come up with other short stories to do inbetween the volumes...

Yeah, that's basically it :D

Maybe someday I'd move to my own domain, but I don't have any yet.

Vakanai's Great DD Plan:
1. Write most greatest thing ever.
2. Get most greatest artist to do most greatest art on it.
3. ???
4. Profit!

No, seriously, I'm not even sure if I have a goal.
I think I'm mostly here because of some sick addiction. DD is like crack!
I can't escape...

If I was more confident in my skills, or less lazy, I'd probably try my hand at writing something real for money.

Comic-wise, it's "improvement." I get valuable artistic feedback and advice from you guys ^.^

Otherwise, my goal is a big, boring, generic "have magnificent amounts of fun!" Which I'm already doing... and I intend to continue!

Get my uploaded pages caught up to my drawn pages. I hate to have a bunch of pages sitting around that no one will ever get a chance to see.

I had my comic in the top 100 once. I wouldn't dare hope for a repeat. And I'm quite sure my comic is unfeaturable since I can't draw. So, I'll just continue uploading pages and be happy. Basically, I'm already where I want to be. I hope to maintain that. It's nice to have regular readers/commenters. I hope that I don't lose them all as one by one they leave DD (or just me) for other things.

Pretty much hone my story and art skills to the fullest, and once I go pro, already have a fan base here.

Other than that, keep on doing what I'm doing now. ^_^ *But being featured or in the top 100 wouldn't be bad at all. =3*

Long term plan? Here on DD? I don't really think I have one. I suppose I live day to day, finding new comics to sink my teeth into, writing and coloring my own, and just hanging around on the forums. Pretty aimless actually.

As for long term plans off-site...well, I don't like to potentially jinx anything, so I'm keeping mum. ;)
A Roll of the Dice now with full-size pages!

John Clyde now with ten times the tacky Hawaiian shirts!

I started Min N Fin to entertain with an environmental 'message'.

I WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD! (OK, you can stop laughing now)

I was looking for an on-line resource where I could get my pages 'previewed' before I loaded them on my site and found DD.

There have been a few times when I was not sure of a page or panel, so posted it here to get advice. That's all I use DD for, really.

'Cept for wasting my time on these dratted forums when I should be working... AAARGGH!

To push my innocent little strip to the point where I throw all attempts at humour out the window in exchange for awful attempts at character development, finally ending with a miscarriage.

My #1 goal is to just improve the style and quality of my artwork...oh, and to actually FINISH my (main comics) TRPC, Paint Heroes, and RPG at some point.
Other than that, it's all fun & games for me.

Finish Cricket's Creature first of all. After that... well, I haven't thought that far ahead. I had an idea for a space adventure story and a Cricket's Creature spinoff, both of which I'm somewhat unsure of.
I'd like to do a graphic novel too but obviously that wouldn't be on DD, and I'm even less sure of that idea. After Cricket's Creature I'll probably just take a break from drawing webcomics altogether just so I can sort my ideas out.

To finish Pokemon Sinnoh Surfer. That's going to take years and years to do, but it'll be worth it. I would say WWE The Comic, but that's too easy to do.
