Or: Is the MyFavorites updates thing based on 24 hours from the last update, or does it only count updates since last midnight, server time? (And if the later, when is server midnight?) I mean, if a comic updates at 11 PM server time, does it only get one hour when I see the red "TODAY" under MyFavorites? And when I set a comic page to release automatically on a certain date, does it release at server midnight or when? (And what time zone is the server in?)

Did any of that make the least bit of sense?

"Today" starts at midnight central time.

Yes, that's "central time" in the U.S.A. I'm not sure what that is in GMT but you can probably Google it ok.

Actually, working it out, I know the sever turns over at -5 GMT.
Faves are based on whenever people update. They stay live until The the sever turns over, then they reset. SO your "1 hour" theory is correct. :)

Queued comics show up when the server turns over

If the server turns over at -5 GMT then that's eastern time. -6 would be Central. Supposedly the new server is in Houston, so -6 would make sense, but if someone with more motivation than me has figured out -5, then -5 it is :)

I didn't know that about the server time vs. local time with Favorites. That kind of sucks, although the 5 or 6 'lost' hours I'd be getting are sleeping time anyway, I suppose I'm not actually missing much.

Another argument for queing comics rather than trying to update at peak times, though- some readers will entirely miss the *today* tag.
