Main character had his history carved into his back. Side-kick was a floating, talking skull. Was another PC game. Can anyone remember? (Damn, that's going to bug me for days now!)

Planescape Torment. One of the best actual RPG's because the whole point was playing the role of another character. Had some of the best writing to grace a video game and a fantastic and original world although the game was a bit too "talky" sometimes.

1) Saga Frontier
My absolute favourite RPG (and game) of all time, I dont care what all the reviews said about it, SF was a brilliantly complex game that no one gave a chance. I still cherish my disc and play it every once in a while.

2) Star Ocean 2
It was really tough for me to pick top stop between this and Saga, both were great games. Though despite how much I love Star Ocean 2 (and Ashton especially! ^^), I hated Star Ocean 3...

3) Suikoden 2
Arguably the best in the Suikoden series, I must have gone through at least six playthroughs of this game before finally going onto something else =P

1) Chrono Trigger
2) Diablo 2
3) Final Fantasy 6

That Opera part in FF6 always gets me.

1) Tales of Symphonia: Since you could decide the final ending. real time battles and special ouigis.

2) Oblivion: You can do almost anything in that game! :D

3) The Legend of Zelda series: I just love battle music and the story.

I'm not a big fan of RPG games but there are a few I like.

1. Golden Sun/Golden Sun: The Lost Age

2. Paper Mario : The Thousand Year Door

3. Phantasy Star Online

1. KOTOR
2. KOTOR 2
3. Fable

...

I gotta mention Tales of Symphonia and Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance, though. Those two were great, but they don't make the top 3.
