I stated in an earlier topic that I was going to start collecting comics. With this first Vindibudd print comic coming up here, it has got me thinking. The person that gave me the idea about getting Vindibudd in comic book form was DJ Coffman. He had been making books from Yirmumah. Seeing what he did there, I am wondering if there are any other comics that are originally online that are now available in book form? I know GOAA is in book form because I have one of those, and I also have several Bob The Angry Flower books. I'm not looking for things like PVP/PA/CtrAltDel though. I am looking for the smaller ones out there. Know any?

Small as in self publishing small?

That would be correct. Well, I am meaning comics by cartoonists that started out small. Like I would put Hero By Night in the category of comics that would fall under this.

Hmmm. I think Caggage is in self publishing, Here There Be Robots, and Gods of Arrkelaan is as well (ninja edit: I know HPK does some print work, he might have some of his comics in print, but I'm not too sure). I was going to self publish my comic for a while, but it didn't work out well due to DPI's and all that jazz.

If you're looking for self publishing outlets online, I suggest lulu.com. They're a print on demand service with a learning curve and a high price, but it's worth it if you want to learn about all the fine details that go into printing. I know there is some site DJ used that a lot of self published comic artists love that does bulk shipments, but then you're stuck with an up front bill.

Also, apologies to anyone who didn't self publish that I listed. I'm kinda going from memory here.
