Webcomic Apocalypse

If the internet got damaged in some undisclosed catastrophe, and only you and an unknown tiny number of others could still get on the internet, would you still post your photos, blog or comics online? I ask because I have been posting a daily new color comic at http://sillydaddy.net [sillydaddy.net] for quite a while and I wonder what I would do in such a circumstance. I probably would think that Jesus is coming back very soon. What would you do? Would you still keep an online presence?

The internet would probably will be bought back to life, and what better coverage would it be if I had loyal updated my comic once a week like I promised. >=3

I think I'd replace the regularly scheduled comics with xeroxed copies from the whole "Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide". Gotta make sure my readers are still around after whatever took down society. After all, finding new ones is a pain. ;)
There is no such word as "alot". "A lot" is two words.
Voltaire
Never seek for happiness, it will merely allude the seeker. Never strive for knowledge, it is beyond man's scope. Never think, for in though lies all the ills of mankind. The wise man, like the rat, the crocodile, the fly, merely fulfills his natural function.

I'd probably upload even more if no one was reading. I'm sick of having my uploaded stuff being so far behind my current skill/drawings, but I can upload only a page a day for the sake of my readers. It would suck for the world to end without me sharing my more recent stuff with at least one or two people. Besides, the internet makes for a great storage place. ;-) (All this is assuming the DD mods survived internet apocalypse, so they could provide the space...)
If there were only a handful of people online, you may never know it. They could access all the automated free sites and create a hundred alt accounts each. Of course, there might be a crazy cyber war, where the bots outnumbered the humans. Maybe in the post-apocalyptic internet, WOW is an 8-bit wasteland -- or all in ASCII, but people would still be playing even with the zombies pounding at their doors.

I'd keep posting Arthur. That's right, shameless plug. Go read Arthur.
Seriously though, assuming the internets would remain active, I'd be on it every day, to see if there's someone else out there. 4chan would be my first bet, then myspace, then facebook. Next to DD, of course.
I'm not scared of any zombies, I'm fully prepared for an outbreak at any given time.

No, I'd just keep stapling the pages together and leaving them at bus stops like I do now.
Of course, without the internet I might actually improve my drawing skills above those of a five year old.

Yes it's common knowledge that the internet has decreased the collective skill of comics artists worldwide.
Those who would have endeavored to get more skilled in the past, now make Sonic sprite comics or something equally crap.

I like to think I'm better than most other aspiring comic artists who can't draw because I don't put my abominations on the internet (I was kidding about the bus stop thing as well). That, and I am trying to get better, I'm just lazy and easily distracted.

I'd probably stop drawing altogether and become a Berryhead, like in episode 005 of
"Woops!" now while it's still around and I'm still lucid!

I have given this some more thought and I think I would not be on the net so much. Getting a sense that the end was near, I would try to visit people in person more and spend quality time with them.

I would probably still update my comic.
Unless, of course, during the Apocalypse I become one of the many filthy, disgusting mutants roaming the earth. Then I would probably litter the internet with my many sketches of naked women, and take pictures of my genitals and post them on myspace.

I'd keep going. Sooner or later the internet would come back up, and my stuff would be one of so few webcomics on the Internet, meaning I'd basically be in Penny Arcade's shoes. Go Pirate Terminators Expo!
