havn't paid much attention to this until I saw the trailer in that link.
Now It is on my must see list.
It's the whole -Angelina is just becoming the white noise that makes up the fabric of the modern world, she is so popular she is invisible-thing.
I saw her and just tuned the movie out.
I just got done with a slew of art and had a moment to really surf around and watched that trailer.

Yeah, but it was designed to be Halle Berry as Catwoman, at least prior to the shitty movie version of Catwoman that she later on starred in. The failure of that movie pretty much trashed the idea of modeling her after Berry afterwards. Of course, since this movie has nothing to do with supervillains anyway, it hardly matters if they had Rosie O' Donnell as The Fox.

I think I've seen this before. Oh, yeah. It was called "The Matrix". Or "The Bourne Identity".

I like both those movies too =p
I can't help but fall for over the top nonsensical action movies. This looks like it'll be a fun ride!

Read "The Devon Legacy".

Hmm, this Russian director obviously didn't get the memo, that mutilating a comic book movie into something completely different from (and inferior to) the original comic book, is no longer a Hollywood in-thing to do.

Seems to me this is more like if Angelina's version of Lara Croft was actually working for the Illuminati from the first Tomb Raider film.

Well everyone seems to be annoyed that the movie isn't exactly like the comic.
If you read interviews with Mark Miller, you would know that originaly the charcters weren't going to wear costumes. They put them into the comic and forgot to take them out. So the writers decided not to put costumes in the movie. And besides, movies generally aren't exactly like books or comics they are based on. (harry potter anyone?)
And how can you say that the movie is inferior to the comic? It hasn't even came out yet! I'm just glad the movies rated R. It means that they'll have the violence and such.

I'm not bemoaning the loss of costumes. That's a good change.
The bad change is that the movie turned the characters from bad guys to good guys.

Why is Hollywood so superhero-costume-phobic? They only guy who has a somewhat superheroish costume is Spider-Man. Superman's turned into a dark corporate logo-version of his old costume, Batman's has become a full-body armor suit with bat-ears, Catwoman's was like some stripper wearing a cat-helmet, Daredevil was wearing a burgandy S&M matador outfit, Elektra was wearing nothing that screamed "ninja", the Fantastic Four were sporting blue diving suits with a "4" on them, and the X-Men SHOULD have been wearing yellow spandex, dammit! Iron-Man doesn't count because his outfit is his superhero persona.

because tights don't translate well into the real world.

no, it didn't.
O.K., after seeing this flick, I have to say, taht I wish I could have the budget that these people had, because I know for a fact that I could have made a better movie than this.
I didn't feel much for the characters.
they were like watching...a bunch of actors play off past roles to fill in the blanks of who they were supposed to be in the movie.
as a paying customer I was not amused.
And the movie tried so hard to be Fight Club.
I was expecting the main character to say..."I am Jacks total lack of respect for the paying audience."
and it aint Fight Club.
It was...
Night Watch/Fight Club/matrix/tomb raider/ultraviolet/davinci code/300/ and History of Violence/and hell boy...
all thrown into a blender..poured into a beer bong and we the audience were forced to swallow that rancid mix.
save your money.
One more thing.
about the violence.
there is a time and a place for it.
I like some ketchup on a sandwich...I don't like to eat a full bottle at one sitting.
and Wanted is like getting to eat a white castle burger with a whole 16 0z Bottle dumped on it.
