Not that they're really supervillains, but I always wanted to see Rorschach from Watchmen and V from V for Vendetta match wits. Not by actual physical fighting, of course; it would be more of a televised debate-type thing. I always thought they were literary dopplegangers of Moore's; both are masked guys with extremist political ideologies. (What, did he run out of ideas or something?) Anyways, this would be rad-- way better than the usual TV debates, which mostly hinge on which participant has better-looking hair.

Heh. That WOULD be awesome to see, Ian, but we're talking about a violent, crazed masked man who enjoys breaking people's fingers, versus an anarchist who also happens to be masked and enjoys blowing stuff up. How could that NOT turn to violence after a little while?
Personally I'd like to see the Joker, as he is when played by Mark Hamill, go up against the Major from Hellsing. Both are crazed sycopaths who care nothing about the value of human life. It'd be fun to see them duke it out.

...Oh, wait. Did you mean an actual rhino, or is there some character named Rhino somewhere?

Rhino's an old enemy of both Spider-Man and Hulk. He's a large guy in a rhino costume complete with horns, and just rams into things, head on that is. Only Marvel! He was on the old 90s Spider-Man cartoon, plus in both the Spider-Man 2 game and Ultimate Spider-Man game.
Although Juggernaut would be better suited to fight Blob since he's the immovable object.

Juggernaut, hands down. Rhino's tough, but Juggernaut has magic armor, which totally beats chemically treated rhino skin.

Ganondorf (or Ganon, take your pick) VS. Venom
While Gannondorf has the Triforce of Power and magic, Venom has a pseudopodia (or whatever it is, I can't remember the exact name) attached to him that allows him to do awesome stuff. Truly a battle for the ages.

Ganon can create fire; Venom is weak against fire. Winner: Ganon.
And he has a "symbiote"

Venom's only known weakness is sonic attacks or loud sounds. So Venom would suck at Ozzfest.

I'd have to put my money on Darkseid if he took on Loki, just because he seems smarter and more ruthless. Loki's cruel, but he's also easily distracted.
I think a more interesting match for Darkseid would be Thanos; since they're essentially the same character.
Ooh, going with the "they're the same character" (at least in origin) motif, I'd like to see Spawn fight Ghost Rider, or Deathstroke fight Deadpool.

Deathstroke would be better off tangling with Taskmaster. They're very similar in methods and abilities.

Why would matching abilites make it interesting? surely vastly different abilites or even types of villany would make them more interesting as adversaries?

I'd like to see how the Juggernaught fights against anyone. His character is usually pretty wild, so he's always entertaining to see.

A good villain showdown would be Trance Kuja from FF9 versus the Ultimate Spider-Man versions of Green Goblin and Venom.

I'm gonna go with Kuja here, because his powers are simply on a different level than the other characters. Bendis himself has said before that the Ultimate continuity versions of characters are already weaker than their mainstream counterparts (Gobby may be an exception, though he probably isn't as much of a genius), add to that the fact that Trance Kuja is the last enemy in a FF game (or next to last, I guess). At the very least he can produce both fire, loud noises, and electricity, so Venom's out already. So all that's left is Green Goblin, and if he can be taken down by a 15 year old kid with a reasonable level of super strength, and that's not quite "end of an RPG" strength right there.
If I had to pit any Marvel character against any end-game FF character, it would be Dr. Strange.

Then again, Ultimate Green Goblin wasn't just a masked psycho on a jet glider. He was on near the same level of strength as the Hulk. An Ultimate GG and Abomination would make for a good brawl.

I know that SHIELD used their "Hulk Buster" team to take Gobby back to base, but I think that was more based on his size than level of strength. I'm sure he was pretty strong, but I don't think he was quite near Hulk-level strength.
I'd have to agree, though, an Ultimate Goblin vs. Abomination match would be qutie keen. I think Abby's got the advantage on strength, but Gobby's got speed, some degree of flight, and fire.
